I mentioned in the PGT against the Preds, Toronto has been trending downward, against a better team there play wasn't going to cut it.

Capitals have made it awfully hard for Toronto to make a clean pass out of the zone.

The last few games have definitely felt like it usually does at the end of a winning streak. Still winning games, but our play has been slipping.

He was put on Tavares line and Tavares did was he's done all year with anyone on his line... he scored.

You can start by switching some players out

Holmberg for Minten or stack one line with Tavares, Matthews and Marner
Or doubleshift one of Matthews and/or Marner

I really dislike activating the D.... because our D don't have good offensive abilities.

So... Tanev or Benoit skating the dowm behind the opponents net and Marner filling in on the blueline makes no sense to me.
