Wow. It's a shame we played like such dog excrement during first 20 games of year. Team is actually decent when halfway healthy.
Lets hope the refs will have some make up calls for the caps in the second. Team played great tho.

his skating looks clumsy and labored to me. his skating looks 75% of what it used to be, in my view. hopeully it will gradually improve, if he can stay off IR.

Good thing the 2nd line is going cause the first is not doing very good. Between the defense men and Backstrom not being able to make a pass for an outlet is going to eventually result in a goal.

i see that too, and i certainly hope it improves. but it's clearly forcing him to play smarter... can't just rely on speed and nimble skating to make up for sloppiness. if he gets the strength back in his skating and can maintain those good habits, he'll be better for it.
meanwhile, orlov really looks out of game shape to me.

And being ok with being here vs. choosing to stay at ~below market value are also tremendously different things.
Market value won't be established until July 1 (so why would he sign early unless blown away?), and it will be way, way more than he's worth.

Yea, we should keep underpaying mediocre players.
I think Perry and Getzlaf set the market max. He isn't worth those numbers. No one will give anything that touches that.
What's wrong with byfuglien. I used to think he was a decent player. He looks horrible out there.
