I am amazed Murray has kept his job for as long as he has.

When your starter and backup have been mostly consistent, easy for any goalie coach to just maybe have the goalies make some minor adjustments. When you give up 10 goals(7 and 3 in this one) in already less than 2 full games played, that is a cause for concern. It then becomes a situation where the goalie coach evaluates, the goalie needs more than minor adjustments.

At the same time it also falls on the coaching staff. You have 2 new players in your lineup(a rookie and a d-man who hasn't played much this season), so you have to setup the roster to defend better in front of your goalie.
