GDT: Caps @ Bruins 3.16.2013 1 PM

This has absolutely been the main reason to care about this season for me. So delightful.

Rag's savior tracker:

2008?: Scott Gomez - nope
2009?: Wade Redden - nope
2010?: Marian Gaborik - nope
2011: Brad Richards - nope
2012: Rick Nash - nope
2013: who will it be?

Alex Ovechkin?

rofl so true, I think hes so overrated by caps fans. Idk why people think hes so amazing, he may not make as many mistakes as say, a shultz, but he isnt physical, has no offensive upside, and vanishes all the time. Imo hes a career 4th - 5th defenseman (which also shows how ****** our defense is lol)

He's among the best in the NHL at starting in the D zone and driving play in the right direction. Gets some of the tougher minutes for the caps, very little help in zone starts, and yet comes out ahead in the possession game.

He's at worst a #2 already.

And when Carlson isn't sucking, they've been a solid playoff shutdown pair. And they are young. Absolutely top pair D in the making.

Definition of a conundrum, Bruins playing the Penguins tomorrow, as a Caps fan can we actually root for either team . . . I didn't think so.

Here we go again...Locker "overall pretty good"....just got dusted 4-1.

Dude is a ****ing turd salesman. Always has been.

Down 4-1, and he's crowing about forcing a few icings???? Yes, I am braindead, why do you ask, Mr. Laughlin?

I just wanna see one Cup before I die.

Your best bet would be to switch teams lol. I loved Gretzky when I was younger and was a Kings fan but decided to pick a new team when he was traded (was probably around 8-10 years old), looks like I should have stuck with the Kings hah.

Oh, give him a break. This isn't NYC or Detroit or Boston or Canada. He can't be brutally honest on air about this team. May does a little more, but they are paid to keep people tuned in in a place with a shortage of die-hards. And even the die-hards are losing interest.

Too late for that now man. Supporting losers is in my blood.

Leafs/Caps fan since 1982. :yo::cry:

He's at worst a #2 d-man? Do you realize hes not even a number 2 D-man on one of the worst defensive teams in the league? There is a reason Oleksy, Carlson, Erskine (when healthy), Green (when healthy), have more ice time then him while in the lineup. And this is a terrible defensive team dude. Try putting Alzner on a real defensive team and he would struggle to get a jersey.

You are right that he is young, so to say he wont become a good defenseman is hard to say, but as of right now, hes only better then Schultz because he doesnt **** up nearly as often lol

I know and I don't care. I don't have to like the fact that, to protect his job, he feels the need to lie to people, maybe costing them money and time if they're trusting enough of his authority to jump on the bandwagon or get strung along.

That goes for him or any other commentator that does it, regardless of team or market. I don't hate him as a person, but he IS a ****ing turd salesman.

Time to trade him for whoever you think is better. What's the plan?
