I could tell about 3 games in that they'd been doing this, along with probably a lot of 2 on 1 and 2 man game drills.

Passing and spacing and tempo were key components in 2018. Looks like they're all back.

All games in the NHL are tough. This was proven Friday night against Pens. And certainly nobody looks at the Caps as an easy game. Bring on anyone… including Toronto!

We'll see. He just skated yesterday for the 1st time since his injury. Coach said it's been a 'lingering injury'. They're playing fine w/out him so I think they'll be conservative in his return.

Was looking at league stats. We have guys in top 10 of every major category. Goals, Assistes, ToI, PLUS/MINUS, Goalie wins, shorthanded goals. It’s great that it isn’t one player. Different guys all over. Kinda hate we are not playing until Wednesday!

Matthews has already missed more games in his career than Ovie has missed in 20 seasons, I think?

It was so obvious in the first period of the Columbus game. They were trying passes that I'd hardly seen any team try, let alone this washed up Caps team.

I can't remember who did it but at one point somebody tried a soccer-style area pass into space for I think Wilson as he was circling along the half wall. It didn't work, but I was just taken aback at the effort.
