Bednar has one mission in mind and it's to get Georgiev back on track. That's the only thing that matters to him. He doesn't give a shit about Kahkonen, Annunen or Miner.
And I would understand it, if Georgiev had taken us to deep playoff runs. But this was f***ing stupid. He doesn't own anything for Georgiev.

I don't really give a f*** how Bednar addresses his goalies, just be consistent with it. This is the NHL, Annunen himself knows he wasn't good enough. Bednar beating him with the media isn't going to break him (or at least it shouldn't).

But I've NEVER seen Bednar do this with Georgiev. Not to this extent. We've seen plenty of praises though, even sometimes when they were not really warranted.
Georgiev is too fragile mentally to call out

My guess

He knows others are not good enough. Georgiev has still shown the highest upside/potential. He is his only hope.

Why's Bednar taking the heat for Annunen sucking lol. If anything he's been correct to give games to Georgiev.

Two bonafide, highly anticipated top-6 guys come back into the lineup and it's Miles Wood that comes away with at least a point. lol
I guess it was kind of expected they were going to be rusty and not achieve much, especially against in-form opponent like Caps. Hopefully they get going quickly and nobody else gets hurt. And where is my f***ing Landy? Is it too much to ask to see this team in full strength at last and what they can do? I guess Colton is out anyway…

The other question who the f is Miner and why are we not playing him more often? That was some decent mining in there, going by the numbers.

I think you've got a hate on for him. It's been your scthick every time the team plays a bad game, you go and look for him and ignore everything else going on in the game. It just gets old sometimes so I just have to throw it back at you. Girard is NOT a terrible defenseman. And there is nobody on this team that is going to do his job better. Toews looks like absolute shit with Manson. While Makar and G actually somewhat works.
Girard sucks

All coaches have a shelf-life, amd unfortunately for Bednar, we're witnessing him rapidly approach his expiry date. Fortunately for Bednar, the organization is 100% loyal to him, and I won't be shocked to see him here for the duration of his contract. So buckle up folks

As for Girard, he is what he is. He's fantastic at skating the puck out of his zone. He plays mostly well against teams that try to out-skate us. However, any time a team tightens up, plays more physical, forechecks hard or pressures the defensemen's passing lanes, he crumbles. We've seen this time and time again. It's why he has the reputation that he has, especially come playoff time, where teams are more likely to employ those tactics.
And just like Bednar, the organization is loyal to him, and we won't see him moved until the end of his contract

I don't believe the players have tuned out of him. They are with Beds.

HOW f***ing EVER, CMaC needs to tell that Parkkila has the saying regarding goaltending from now in, in and claim whoever someone puts on waivers.

Why is the coach who has the absolute least to work with at fault? George is at best a mid backup, and Annunen is young guy who is just trying to see if he's capable of NHL play. Parkkila isn't a miracle worker. There probably isn't a goalie coach in the league that makes this duo look even passable. I don't love Parkkila but he has very little to work with.

Bednar on the other hand has 29, 96, 8 etc. when those guys carry we look ok. They have an off game Bednar can't do shit to adjust.

Bednar's seat better be getting extremely toasty, he can't use the injury excuse anymore now that guys are getting back. Results are now expected.

Give the team time to adjust to three dudes coming back who have been out for a while. Last night was a prototypical "getting players back" type game. Everything was out of sync. Everyone was making mistakes. And the goalies sucked ass. Killer combo.

No! Blow it up already!

Anyway, how many of you saw Nuke's postgame interview? I was not expecting any of what I saw. He talked at length, he made eye contact, and his face looked very different. It was, I don't know how to say it, but "clear." His eyes were clear. He didn't have that pinched expression he always has. I wasn't hopeful before, but he just looked much healthier. Still can't put my finger exactly on it.
