That one maybe shouldn't have been called either, so some ticky tack going our way.

Its both players have to be within 5 feet of the bench and its not about there being 2 players within 5 feet, if a guy jumps and gets far out on the ice before the guy he is replacing is on the bench, its an advantage.

During most line changes six guys are on the ice at some point. Teams will get away with it as long as it's not too early or the guy coming off or on doesn't play the puck before the other one gets on or off. In this case, the guy that played the puck hadn't been changed for yet. The sixth guy on the ice was changing for the d-man at the back door, and neither of those two played the puck.

the guy that got one the ice played the puck i think while his replacement still was on the ice

Hopefully the first line takes over this period. Ovi looks worse offensively than he did yesterday. That shot must have really hurt his hand.

With two ES assists, Mike Green now leads NHL defenseman in ES points and is tied for 2nd for points from defense. One more and he ties for the lead.

There's a difference between having 6 guys on the ice in transition during the flow of the game and having 6 guys on the ice while you're on a PP. One always gets called, the other doesn't (most of the time).

It doesn't even look like they're getting anything done.

Not cycling or generating anything off the rush.

When they do get in the zone, they're too 'cute'. They need to stop over passing and the unneeded drop passes. Just shoot and crash the net.

I know this won't be the popular opinion, but Ovi is not only the best goal scorer on this team, best passer too.
