OT: Capitals Cinema Club: TV and Movies

The Recruit on Netflix. It's quirky comedy and action all rolled into one. Just started season 2. Main protagonist nails his role.
Enjoyed S1 so will get to this.
I just finished Night Agent season 2…..Recruit season 2 next maybe….

Companion was fun…
Started watching S2 but got pulled away pretty quick will get back to it at some point.

The girl annoys me to no end….

Absolutely. I think they redeemed her some in S2 because, if you zoom out a little bit, you kinda have to concede that she's consistently the only one accomplishing anything. The main guy is a dope, and his handler is used more to define who trusts who at any given moment. The girl succeeds at most of the tasks she has, makes a lot of the insights, and on and on.

She had way more agency in S2, but yeah, she was still saying dipshit things like, "You CIA guys need to tell me, the unqualified civilian, EVERYTHING I want to know, right now!" Or, "I know we're literally trying to save the world from horrifying, painful death, but did we really have to be mean to that person?!? I know we're in a time crunch, but that wasn't nice!"

I definitely prefer The Recruit to The Night Agent, though TNA seems to get way more viewers. People are weird.

The Diplomat is really good, IMO, if you all haven't checked it out yet.

I nearly lost my mind in that scene. She’s so soft. They would have sent her packing first time she overstepped, but she does it regularly!

Something likeable about the main character, but he is a dope at times.

The handler sucks! I feel like they should watch The Agency to see how spies really work lol.

Diplomat is on my list..

If its an inside wall, not an exterior wall, then you should not have any surprises dropping down from behind the TV to the console, unless the house is antique when carpenters just threw shit together however they felt like. Be careful not to drop too far below potential horizontal electrical lines (between outlets on the wall) as those would be no fun to cut into. I've done this sort of thing a hundred times and there just aren't surprise studs going sideways all that often. The stud finder is your friend here as already pointed out. It works in vertical or horizontal searches.
We live in CA where very very very few houses are over 100yrs old. Mine is 20yrs old. Which isn’t even “new”, LOL.

Don’t get me wrong, they do exist …. Of course in spades — but East Coast homes are generally a lot older = weird planning!
