A show that I don't think many people here would have seen and probably wouldn't enjoy - but I really liked (because Mad Men is one of my fav ever TV Series), was The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

Set in New York in the late 50's and early 60's - I was amazed at the sets and how many extras they used in that show, even for relatively short scenes. And all of them dressed in the fashion of the day. They must have had a pretty big budget.
I also really liked Ms Maisel. Maybe ran out of steam in later seasons, but still ended well.

Mad Men is probably my favorite show too. At least in that era - it was always some mix of Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Wire and Sopranos.

The long running but great series can be a little taxing as they go on. After peak tv now I know to just not rush a show unless I'm really feeling it. And yeah sometimes it can mean a few years. Like I haven't watched the last season of Mr. Robot.

Yeah - Mrs Maisel lost it's shine for me in the last season. That time jump thing just didn't work. They really could have finished the season before.

Breaking Bad also amazing. The Wire fantastic. I never got into The Sopranos, so I will offer up The Leftovers instead.

Loved Mrs maisel … also lost steam w me towards the end
I didn’t finish the last season

The leftovers — I need to get back to that once penguin is done
1st and 3rd seasons of The Leftovers are masterclass.

Penny Dreadful S1...so good. There is an episode that explores Eva Green's character's background that is so good it felt like an amazing movie.

Maisel has a few hiccups with the early flashback episodes in the final season….I didn’t like them either, but they pulled it together a bit for the ending….

Oh yeah…I know exactly what you’re referring to. Such a great show.

Loved The Leftovers. It was cool how all the mysteries were totally ambiguous, and open to interpretation. Big fan of Carrie Coon.

At the risk of oversharing, that show hit me very hard on a personal level. All of the grief hit close to home, and many of the scenes left me gutted.

Yep me too. I shed a lot of tears watching it - even watching it a second time.

How do you people get to watch so much TV?

I’m lucky to see a few hrs of a Caps game, and the Skins on Sunday. Otherwise, it’s kids kids kids
I have an Award vote for TV and Movies. I try to give everyone a fair chance if they get a nom. It can get overwhelming if you put off watching them all until the last min. I also get free movie passes to everything but prefer watching at home with a pause and rewind button.

Basically when the wife and kid are in bed 🤣

But it takes me a very long time to finish shows. Even movies I break it into multiple days.

With that said, watched Civil War yesterday. What an amazing movie.
Agreed on Civil War. Have the 4k blueray on my desk atm. Ran out of storage space on my modular Boltz storage rack. Hilariously I ordered an expansion section last March. I check in on the order every couple of months and get 'reasons' so at this point I just want to see how long the farse goes.

Yep. Blind bought the 4k UHD as well. I stopped ripping my UHDs though. They take up too much space.
