Your 10 point must system/scale confuses me. Is a 5.5/10 slightly above average? 5 average?

Were you not entertained by either?
Yeah .. I really have no clue either. I think I started it as satire ... what does a 6.7 even mean, howd you decide it wasnt a 6.6 random internet guy?

Im not sure Ive given anything less then a 5 .. I guess Id turn it off if it was below that

But those 2 movies sucked ... like bad. I wouldnt recommend .. much better options out there but also I just like to watch 2-4 movies a week

I love movies ... even shitty movies ..

Trap - 5/10 .. m night shyamalan .. plot holes and a very limited plot/story to begin with (guy trapped in a building) .. seemed like the movie was made to showcase the singer/im guessing his daughter?

The Long Game - 5.5/10 .. mexican teens form golf team in late 50s Texas .. sappy was expected but it didnt come close to the great sappy sports movies
Trap - absolutely a vehicle to showcase his daughter's singing career. But it's his money bankrolling it so I guess it doesn't matter.

Awful movie. I have seen people praise Josh Hartnett's performance but I hate campy over-acting (see: anything by Nicolas Cage).

The Endless (2018) or Woman of the Year .. any see yet?
I really liked The Endless - very unique movie (imo anyway)

Woman of the Year - probably watch that one with your wife. It wasn't great and I only stuck with it because I was having a couch potato kind of day last weekend

Edit: ah yes it was Woman of the HOUR.

Woman of the Hour on netflix with Anna Kendrick I thought was good. But I like True crime shows/movies
Thought it was pretty good too. Put it on last weekend just to fill some space and ended up paying way more attention than I thought I would, did a good job at keeping a bit of tension and intrigue.

then the credits hit and I saw she directed it and was blown away, I didn't know she had that in her

Finishing up spooky season with a couple more.

Hysteria! On Peacock. 8 episode series. Im about 1/2 way done with it takes place in the 80s and has some stranger things vibes.

Time Cut. On Netflix. 90 min movie. Time traveling movie They go back to 2003 to stop a Halloween type killer.

Both have pretty good sound tracks if you like popular music from those eras.

Endless - 6.5/10 ... interesting, like a toned down Midsommar w the whole farm cult chill vibe secret thing. I do have some plot consistency questions about the loops .. felt like a spin off of Lost in some ways

the acting and relationship struggle btw the brothers was good acting/writing and the theme stayed throughout

Might have been better off as an 8 part limited series where things could have slow cooked a bit more, things fleshed out, past memories back story shown .. more relationship development btw characters other then the 2 brothers relationship.

also .. no titties .. there were ample chances for some titties to be shown but alas no titties ..

-----------------------

Let the Right One In - horror/vampire, the 2008 swedish one, excited for it tonight ...

Hmm - methinks you have an Anna Kendrick crush. It was probably the best part of the movie though.

I liked the retro 70's vibe - they really nailed it. Reminded me of Late Night With The Devil.

Yeah def love movies that do time periods and do it well … pretty cool how Hollywood has huge warehouses of old cars, 60s NYC taxis etc

Plus I have a vague memory of the early 80s … brown everywhere

Anna would def get it but honestly, I’m not gay, but like the 9/10 or 10/10 dudes I see on the street I’m like “that dude would get it” so I’m kinda like High Point University … I have a high acceptance rate

A show that I don't think many people here would have seen and probably wouldn't enjoy - but I really liked (because Mad Men is one of my fav ever TV Series), was The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

Set in New York in the late 50's and early 60's - I was amazed at the sets and how many extras they used in that show, even for relatively short scenes. And all of them dressed in the fashion of the day. They must have had a pretty big budget.
