There was a report that the Canucks were highly interested into Brock Nelson last trade deadline, and they haven’t necessarily addressed that this year. Would Canucks fans do Raty + 2025 1st for Brock (50% retained)? Pretty ironic, but a Horvat type deal with a worse 1st is what I think Nelson will get.

I wouldn't say a move like that should or would be prioritized over adding a top 4 D

Yeah but for how long is the thing with Demko. Having Lankinen is great but the third option for that situation can't be Silovs. Demko is a ticking time bomb and that's the reality for him, he can't play that much because you risk that injury he has to live with, getting worse so Lankinen being able to play a lot is great. But carrying a third that is reliable would be key too. You don't want a situation like last year's playoffs.

Insurance is key.
If Demko goes down again, they will cross that bridge when they come to it. They won't be dealing assets to carry a 3rd NHL goalie as a just in case.

Goes on to say that teams are very interested including Pittsburg and Washington and team believe he can get his game back to where it was when he scored 24 goals.
