Very disappointed w this signing.

He is not built to play in the top 4 and I suspect thats where he will be playing.

Checking the Oilers board, there's a general lament that they never should have let Desharnais walk, if there was even a slight chance to they were going to lose Broberg as well. Supposedly Broberg play in the Cup Final rendered Desharnais superfluous. Now they're both gone.

He has now and he looked pretty bad tbh. Juulson might pass him in on the depth chart.

The league over corrected from puck movers to big stay at homers.
Did you watch last game in high leverage minutes he looked great. He has improved immensely in the last year. Comparing him to Juulsen is hilarious he has been miles better than him in the preseason.

I'll admit that I only watched him for a few shifts. But he was standing too upright a lot and just didn't look very mobile
Desharnais is actually very mobile for his size. His issue is breaking pucks out and not getting hemmed in, but he has actually been one of our better defenders in preseason. Juulsen doesn’t even come close.

Like most I've been pleasantly surprised with Desharnais. Even before last night's game he has been solid. If he continues the trend, and continues to learn from Foote and the staff, we could potentially have a gem @ $2M.

At moments Desharnais reminded me of Soucey a bit in the last game against the Oilers. Not that fleet of foot but didn't panick with the puck and made some heads up, short passes to beat the forecheck. He's not a Gudbranson with the puck on his stick and his impact in the D-zone was solid.

I love how you brought my post back up in a “got’cha” attempt but it backfired completely, proving my original point in the process 😂

In a game where the Canucks iced a Abbotsford Canucks roster, I thought the Canucks squad and more notably Desharnais on defense played outstanding against a stacked Oilers lineup. For a big fellow Desharnais skating is impressive, he makes the smart easy play to get it safely out of his zone. I thought he has looked terrific thus far in a Canucks uniform.

Canucks management had 5 regular season games and a whole playoff series to scout this guy. Just because he's scratched doesn't mean they already have buyers regret , I wouldn't think.

This is the problem with building a team for the playoffs. You have to play 82 game first.
