Proposal: Canucks / Panthers

Haven’t watched that much Florida but would like to see them win the cup because they have some connection to the Canucks with Luongo and pretty long trade history.

Miller & Boeser to Florida
Bennett, Tippet and a 1St to Canucks

Could retain on Miller for next year for an additional 2nd

Both sides say no.

Florida:

1) Cap likely doesn't work going into next year anyhow
2) Bennett has a defined role as 2C until Lundell takes over
3) We need one top 6 RW but most Panther fans feel defense is a more pressing need

Vanouver:

1) They won't package both
2) This isn't enough value from Florida
3) It doesn't really address their need for a RD

Why on earth would the Panthers consider moving Bennett? Dude has been the exact type of player they've needed for years.
