On one hand I think Allvin wants the flexibility to make trades at the deadline and beyond, and freedom for signings.

On the other hand, why not keep Soucy for depth, try to build him back up. If someone is hurt you have a veteran guy who can play both sides and slide up and down. Also if you still want to move him, then you've (hopefully) improved his value and he'll have only 12 teams you can't trade him to.

Around Christmas he posted a JT Miller trade proposal that was laughably bad that I wish I would have taken a screenshot. He was universally ripped for it so bad that he just deleted the tweet.

A three way trade with the Canucks coming away with something like a 3rd for Miller.

This gem of embarrassment ..

I knew there was something wrong with Serevelli when he would go on Canucks Army and act like a total ass to Quadrelli and Harm. The guy is hack. He's the "insider" version Mark Specter.

Seravalli is a hack who the old boys club has designated as insider, they kickstarted his career with the Kraken expansion draft leaks

Just seems like a decent pro / con list to me. As pitseleh mentions, the Quinn Hughes situation overshadows everything. If they miss the playoffs this season and that costs him the Norris, that's an organizational failure and not one that Hughes will forget.
If Hughes is fixated on individual awards and holds grudges because they traded Miller and brought in assets that made them better next year maybe there was more issues in the room than just Miller

Ah yes, Quinn Hughes is the REAL problem in the room. Now that's a take.

Top players are competitive both for team and individual success. He deserves recognition for what he is accomplishing.

I'd love to see Soucy and Boeser moved for some speed and size.

With our newfound cap space, I'm also hoping for an overpriced reclamation dump that would cost us very little other than cap space. Cozens would check a lot of boxes if BUF just wants to shed the long term contract.

Boeser to CBJ or MIN seems like good starting points. After seeing the (short term) results of the JTM trade(s) I'm excited to see what's next. Great job so far of getting younger, bigger, faster while opening up cap space.

Wonder if RoR would be available? Better if he was a RHS, but fits a lot of our other needs. With Petey and Chytil, don't necessarily need a big producer. Slow AF, but always has been. Wouldn't pay a ton, but maybe next year's 1st+prospect not named Willander or Lek?

Quinn Hughes would never do what you framed.

What i said was as nonsensical as your supposition that he would

He wouldn't be upset that he didn't win a Norris trophy because the team missed the playoffs? You sure about that?

Curious what you would be doing to replace Miller and Boeser's 77 goals?
