Insulting post from a Mod cool

Smart GMs only sell depressed assets right?

You were done with Pettersson correct?

I mean, he's right though.

Not only is trading Hronek a rebuilding type move, Hughes has openly said they like playing together which is likely one of the main reasons the two are rarely split up. Not exactly a great message to send our superstar defenseman, nevermind it reopens a hole we spent practically the entire season desperately trying to plug.

Unless, of course, you like Juulsen on the main roster.

Why would they trade their best RD who’s signed long term at a reasonable cap hit? They just fixed the defense and now you’re suggesting that they undo that and create a massive hole on the right side with Myers being our only RD.
Because there are teams that need a top2/3RD and won't want futures. Get a equal value young top6 C in place and then using futures for a top4 RD that is older

We've seen how good DPetey looks and Willander has shown more potential and should within a year or 2 be able to be an impact player. If convictions are high then it's absolutely a move you can pull off without a big hole being created. If the scouts aren't convinced then absolutely you wouldn't do it

Im not saying trade him for a bunch of picks. I'm saying leverage a extremely high value asset who has been bolstered by playing with the best defenceman in hockey and use that to fix an almost impossible situation at C

Just thinking outside the box. Good luck getting a topC we haven't even drafted one since 2017 and one is not coming anytime soon. Suter is UFA and Chytil i love him but he's been very injury prone and isn't ideal as a high leverage guy and if we're keeping Pettersson he needs some help

Unless you're currently an NHL GM, I didn't insult you.

Strawman argument.

I said I had never been angrier at a player than I was at Pettersson.

Now move along.
ok boss but lets not forget the trade proposals that routinely run through here. You took it there not me

Blasting a hole in the spot we spent a decade fixing seems crazily ludicrous and irresponsible. Willander hasn't seen a second of professional hockey in his life.

I usually only listen to 650 radio during Canucks Central while I drive home from work, and sometimes while I walk my dog if it's interesting or something has happeneded recently.

Today I listened in the morning driving to work, and now am listening on my lunch break. Both times Drance was on. Not an enjoyable listened, would not recommend, won't be doing it again outside of TDL season. Guys a dolt and painful to listen to.

Likely doesn’t believe he can win there.

I don’t blame him.

Doubt he commits to anyone right now. Wants to get to FA.

Reports, and who knows if it's true, say that there's some teams he's willing to sign and trade with.

What's very funny is that Carolina is now having to pivot. Got all this praise for finally spending big on a rental and try to sign him but get rebuffed immediately. All the talk was it was too fast for Rantanen. Maybe that's true but it would be funny if Dundon put too much pressure on him to re-sign and he truly doesn't want to be there.

Wouldn't have been opposed to claiming Oesterle & Vrana as replacements for whomever we sell, oh well.

Still would take J. Skinner for FC and I wouldn't absolutely hate Reaves for overpaid thirteenth fwd.

It’s weird if the Hurricanes had just signed Guentzel and not insulted him by lowballing until the end. They would not be dealing with anything of this. Also, I think Necas would have been a Canucks last offseason and I don’t think in a Petey trade.
