Norris seems like the best bet since I could see Ottawa just wanting to get out of that contract.

Cozens feels like more of a stretch since Buffalo isn’t really in a position to be dealing talent for futures. Also why flipping the Rangers pick for Byram instead was probably a pipe dream.

Mittlestadt is the only other obviously available player they could take a flyer on for futures.

The only other hope is you find a team that has a centre they don’t love that they are ok with dumping in a deal for Boeser. E.g. maybe Boeser and a first gets you Rossi or Hayton if you’re lucky.

Sillinger seems like another name to be looking at. When talks about Petey going there I was looking at their board and it seems even not for Petey he is a trade chip they were looking to use.

Let’s not talk about our ignore lists.

Interested to see what sort of return Granlund gets. If the Canucks do decide to move on from Boeser, this could be a bit telling of what to expect in terms of a return. Granlund plays a more desirable position, but Boeser is the better / more proven player, IMO.
would dallas be interested in boeser...?

He’s completely damaged goods and is not bouncing back. Their ask will be higher than his actual value.
so is chytil.. whats your point? hes one hit away from having scrambled brains. i'd take norris anyday.

There’s massive difference in the longterm risk between the two. It’s also a strawman since I didn’t bring up Chytil and wouldn’t have targeted him in a trade.
