They never have. For Allvin and JR, they cannot fail. They can only be failed.
That’s a weird take. As managers they are responsible for putting the team together and if players are not performing, then they are accountable for that.
They basically shipped out all the pieces that have not performed, that’s in some sense, them being accountable for their mistakes.
I thought by "market" it was meant as the fan base? That is how I read the original post.

I'm sure the team has a good handle on the trade market, but it wouldn't fit into the context of them having PR interns scouring social media and preparing reports for management.
Oh that, I mean even if they get the market, they really don’t talk to the media that much outside of the usual cadence

Given they took back Norris i would think Chytil would have been an easy sell plus other pieces.
I honestly don’t know which one is more injury prone at this point. Chytil or Norris

I never said they would’ve, in fact I said the opposite like 2 posts above. They very well could’ve been one of the teams asking for Willander.

So, Chytl and Willander?
You think Norris at 9.5 million currently and 8 x 6 is Willander better than Chytil?

Canucks really tried saying they couldn’t trade Boeser or Suter because the optics would look bad to Quinn. How about now? They’re awful and got nothing back at the deadline.
Well, with Quinn in the lineup, there's a decent chance we have 3-4 more points over our last 10 games, given that he is responsible for 90% of the our offense and we've lost some close games. That puts us firmly in the 8 spot.

It all comes down whether they squeak in. The season is far from over, especially if he comes back and puts on a show.

well they knew he was injured and would be missing games.

did canucks say that or posters online
650 has been saying this for months and its obvious that the team is leaking it to them

No but I do know that teams were asking about Willander and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Buffalo in conversation regarding Cozens. Chytil and a 2nd and a prospect like Mynio wasn’t going to get it done. Buffalo has plenty of assets like that already. They obviously liked Norris and his 30+ goal potential when healthy.

They did not really say that, but they did say they were keeping them for a playoff run ... when this group has clearly not been a playoff team since at least Miller left, but probably before that. Either way, keeping this group of players together should not be used as an argument to justify anything at this point.

They're the ones that put the pieces together. If the pieces are bad, that's on them. They're at the top of the food chain. Buck stops there. But all Allvin and JR do is blame everyone else.

They haven't fixed anything. At best, they re-arranged some deck chairs. More uncharitably, they're just slowly bleeding out value and turning the team into a zombie bubble club, just kinda there but not having any actual relevance.

The team is going to miss the playoffs. They didn't sell at the deadline. Who are they gonna blame for that?

They bungled this season at every step. No excuses left from them.

Really messed up not getting Cozens when he was available
some of the posters here didnt really want cozens for whatever reasons.. right handed centerman just needed a change of scenary. but vancouver didnt have the pieces to make it work. unless they gave up wallinder/lekkamaki/

I don’t see how they can improve the offense without moving Hoglander (3M), Blueger (2.2M) and Demko (5M).

Ideally:

______-Petey-______
Debrusk-______-______
Joshua-Chytil-Garland
O’Connor-______-Sherwood

If you move those 2 along with the 14M cap space you have $24M~ of cap space to improve the top 6.

I think you have to go and make a splash for Marner. Team needs another elite offensive player. I’d then try and offer sheet someone like Will Cuylle 7x7M as the Rangers will be cap strapped with Shesterkin contract and KAM needing to be re signed as well as some others. Nichuskin is another top 6 guy who won’t be expensive given his risk factor. Colorado is another team who will be cap strapped.

Peterka is also another OS option.
