I think it was a rather clumsy way to try to negotiate Boeser's asking price down, in public.Alvin specifically mention advising Boeser’s agent pre TDL that based on how the market was shaping up, there was a good chance he was still going to be on the team post deadline. He was blunt when asked about his inability to move him for a reasonable return, but I don’t think there was any shit talking. Sometimes the truth hurts.
No need for name calling but the post you are replying to is 100% correct. If you say so, I guess I'll take your word for it. I don't really concern myself with outside opinion, let alone my own.
If you want to resort to name-calling, can we at least please do it on a forum made for kids? I'll be able to express myself a lot more clearly there.![]()

I wouldn’t do a 2026 1st and KK for Willander alone. Hell you could throw a random third asset in and it’s still a no.

Then offering him contracts is a really bad idea.I don't think they actually want to sign Boeser. Given they choice they would happily move on and replace him with one of their guys. They need to sum make half an effort. If he signs cheapthey will live with that or they get their guy and let him walk.
KK and a late first for Boeser and one of EP2/Lekk/Willander?
f*** right off
I believe Forbort will get at least $2M in the summer market, if he finishes the season healthy. He’s had the misfortune of going into contract UFA summers injured, and put on a show me contract. First, after missing most of season w LA/Calgary, signs 1 year $1M contract w Winnipeg. Does well, Bruins sign him 3 years. Hurt his final year, signs 1 year $1.5 with us. Does well….. and next????? He’s always been an elite PK who has played up and down the lineup, but really excels at 3rd pairing. Forbort was a big part of Boston’s record breaking season two years ago, with elite PK. He’s worth more than pennies to many different teams if healthy.Forbort seems like the kind of guy you could extend for a reasonable price.

This organization doesn't deserve the playoffs anyway...Our last 6 games are gonna be brutal. Dallas, Colorado, Vegas twice and Minnesota.
Hopefully all those teams are resting players and sleepwalking into playoffs by then lol
It's pretty insulting of Carolina to think that they can offload their mistake as a cap dump along with a 1st round pick for Boeser and a prospect of worth (like, Kud and Mynio are not ... Anthony Romani). Particularly because they have tried this before with Allvin and failed. No way it was Willander IMHO. Ep2 and Lek would be no's from the Canucks. Gets iffy after that. I could see Carolina thinking they could get
kud or mynio.
They are meaningful games though. Our last 6 games are gonna be brutal. Dallas, Colorado, Vegas twice and Minnesota.

The key assumption you make is that asset we get back for Boeser will actually make a difference. So letting Boeser walk for nothing instead of moving him and accumulating assets helps them acquire that 2nd line center? Ask yourself, how stupid are you?
That’s why Canes should go f*** themselves. Hope they crash out of the 1st roundIt's pretty insulting of Carolina to think that they can offload their mistake as a cap dump along with a 1st round pick for Boeser and a prospect of worth (like, Kud and Mynio are not ... I hope Nikishin whove they been waiting on for like 4 years now requests to be traded or announces a KHL extension just to screw with them even moreThat’s why Canes should go f*** themselves. Hope they crash out of the 1st round
Nobody is saying we should move a top prospect. Like holy shit. We’re saying accumulate assets now, and utilize them next season when it might actually matter.

I tend to agree. I would have preferred a longer term approach, but we’ve got a shot at the playoffs, and despite what some think on here, I think this team is built for the playoffs and could do some damaged. Reminds me of the Islanders five years ago. Not going to be a great regular season team with such anemic scoring, but when the playoffs start (if we make it) scoring drops and the teams that can win tight scoring games always seem to do well. Then why are you here? Find a better hobby that fulfills you.
Things are not last year and that really sucks that we are struggling right now. Felt like we had momentum coming in to this season. But this give up, sulky, pouty victim complex some of our fans are carrying around is absolutely pathetic. And sorry to pick on you Nucker, but there's a bunch of you with this attitude and it's like correcting my 5 year old when she's having a bad day.
