God, you must truly be a f***ing lunatic to live in Calgary of all God forsaken places as a Canucks fan. ;)

Im surrounded by the enemy but my team is better than theirs and I share in the Oilers hatred.

If Metrotown wasnt so expensive, Telus didnt send me to Manila to train my own replacement then mandatory retire me, and Kingsley Bailey could sell me Nucks tickets at face value I would have stayed in Vancity my friend.

Is Tage T the man youd trade 1 for 1?

Cause thats also a pipedream broski.

Nope. Buffalo isn't the right situation to poach from. Sorry that happened to you brother. There's a reason I hate Rogers with a burning passion, but it's only because they've got a better business model.

If you're dad's a Flames fan, you got that fire in my belly friend. Whatever you choose to do in life is what you'll be great at, you just need to find the right place is all.

It seems to me that Brock Boeser has been in the trade rumor mill for half of his career in Vancouver. In fact at one time, didn't Canucks management clear Boeser and his agent to talk to any other teams in the league who might be interested?

But I just can't see how the trade doesn't happen this time. No way he gets past the TDL without either being signed to an extension, or shipped out via a trade.

Well the fact that Kevin Adams is looking to get a head start on next year's roster and not the roster five years from now is a step in the right direction right? Right?

I wonder if MTL would ever entertain a Suzuki for EP trade?

Even if he did bounce back into a 100 player, I doubt they'd consider it. Suzuki is signed to an absolute gift of a contract given how much the cap is soaring. The fact he's almost a PPG player this season on a dogshit Habs roster makes me think he's practically untouchable.

Hey Bill, when it comes time to renew, I can take a few off your hands if you'd like to you can keep the seasons subscription in the family. Your dad sounds like he was a great man, and I know you to be the kind of person I hope I become someday.

If there's any chance we can keep you or your family in the seats, let's do it buddy.
Sadly, I think my friend has already made the decision. Unless someone want to buy a lot of tickets, these are going to be history. The timing is bad , because I am off to Mexico on Fri. I believe the renewal deadline for the seats is something like Mar 1.

If anyone is interested in tickets, and these are prime seats, message me and I will see if there is much interest.

I suppose I am dreaming, lmao. Thanks for the wake up call.

Plenty of nucks/leafs fans in Calgary and the number gets bigger every month. Priced out families/couples who can’t afford real homes in Vancouver/Toronto but still want to live in a city instead of staying in province and moving to the middle of nowhere.

there is a concussion protocol, if he had a concussion in the past 2 years we would've all known about it.
Players can mask lingering most symptoms. Some will not even be aware they are there.
IMO EP has had 3 or 4 since joining the team.
I still remember when he did a reverse hit and slammed his head into a shoulder, he stopped for a second, shook his head, skated back to the bench shaking his head, sat down and was shaking his head, played out the game. But his missed several games after with an upper body injury and his play declined for months. This was with Green as coach.

Since Tocchet he was trying to hit much more and his offensive game has deteriorated, often he had 3 times the number of hits as shots. This not to say Tocchet is to blame that is his system but Pettersson was never that kind of player and in trying to follow the coaches direction he got his bell wrung. And that is an issue because he might not know the reason for declined play so he simplifies his game and defers to other players.

I'm not saying the trade wasn't bad, I'm saying keeping him wasn't really a choice.
Yeah, there became a point where they couldn't keep him anymore. The package at the time was actually pretty good, considering a lot of people thought Eichel was damaged goods and a potential "problem child", and Tuch is a great piece.

I see similarities with Petey given if we trade him and he rebounds, we pretty much have lost the trade, as you usually do trading the best player.

I expect he will be traded. Doesn't sound like brass wants to pay him his market value, and they really can't afford to let him walk as UFA for no assets in return.

Charlie McAvoy
  • He’s is week-to-week; Bruins aren’t happy
  • His infection stemmed from an injection given to him before Saturday’s game to help manage the pain from the injury; was a typical thing in that players play through stuff and get help with pain management; is a daily occurrence in the NHL; just unlucky
4 Nations Tournament
  • Players don’t want to play international tournament before the NHL season starts because it cuts into their summer break
  • An earlier tournament would complete with college football and baseball playoff races; many won’t care about hockey in that time of year
  • Beat the NBA’s All-Star game
  • NHL & NHLPA need to do a better job, in future tournaments, in fixing the roster scenarios and not putting teams and players in a difficult spot
  • Four GMs “were slamming their fists on the table” demanding a 25-man roster but were rebuffed
  • Told it was the NHLPA that didn’t want a 25-man roster; wanted to allow guys to go on vacation; didn’t want guys attending the tournament but not play
  • Because the USA has 12 forwards and 6 defenceman, Quinn Hughes can’t play
  • If team USA has 11 healthy forwards, the league has not decided if team they can use an 11/7 format and permit Hughes to play
Boeser
  • Really quiet around him; doesn’t believe there’s been any significant negotiations
O’Connor
  • Was a little surprised at his extension because the Canucks had just worked to unload players in his pay range at the bottom of their line-up
  • Calls him a “quality 4th line centre” (O’Connor does not play centre; Halford & Brough, after the interview, talk about how much of an upgrade O’Connor is over Danton Heinen)
Pettersson
  • Thinks there’s way more risk for the Canucks in keeping Pettersson than trading him
  • Tournament did nothing to help his trade value
  • Becoming harder and harder to find teams interested in acquiring him
  • A rival GM told Seravalli that it would be hard for anyone to feel good about a trade for him if they are giving up significant value
  • Everyone can see his play and thinks there trepidation

With the rumor of Tuchs wife wanting to be closer to home, Vancouver. I wonder if Buffalo would do Tuch for Boeser.

He would be a great target once we've dealt with a player like Boeser and have extra assets and a RW need because of Boeser.

But there is absolutely no way Buffalo trades the better player one for one, no.

Tuch is bigger, faster and signed for 4.75 next year.

Brock is smaller, slower and a UFA to be likely asking for 8 x7.

Think Peyton Krebs, Anton Walhberg and a 2nd as a brock return.

Then think of what assets Tuch would take over and beyond.

The tweet wasn't loading but as soon as I got to this point, I knew who the interviewee was. Guy has lots of sources but does not watch hockey.

Ahhh yup ^^^ thats what ive been saying..

But apparently Nah "players hardly lose that much value"..

In fact the players offered for Miller were still on the table 800 days after first offered..

The wakeup call for Petey apoligists will be harsh.

I hear a lot of people talk about the $11.6 million for Petey but I much rather be in the position the Canucks than the position the Blue Jays are in with Guerrero. Where they are basically gonna lose him for free or get pennies on the dollar at the trade deadline.

They’d want Pettersson. Something around Cozens and Tuch would work cap wise but would leave you very weak at C and you’d have to be pretty sure Tuch would re-sign.

Four Nations was really an umitigated disaster for Pettersson.

For a guy sufferering from knee tendonitis, unable to train all offseason, he sure has missed (checks notes) 10 total games since the start of the 2021 season..

80 gp
80 gp
82 gp
49 out of 55 gp currently

But im sure THIS offseason will be different. Yaaaa.

This team let Mikhyev play 46 games with a torn ACL and let Hughes play through injury to the point where it got even worse and he had to miss a bunch of games so yeah it’s not surprising at all they are playing Petey through tendonitis considering their official position is tendonitis is not an injury.
