Buyout Period: June 27th, evening; players without NMCs must be placed on unconditional waivers 24 hours prior (another buyout period opens if a team has a player file for arbitration). This buyout period ends June 30th. 8:00pm.

To be fair Dreger never mentioned term. So it could have been 5M for like 3 or 4 years and he wants 5 or 6 years. There also could have been disagreements with NTC/NMC

I have a really hard time believing we went up to $5M. My guess is that we pushed it to like $4.5M and Milstein declined, but if we really threw 5 out there and they declined, they can kick rocks.

Saved us from ourselves there.

Canucks went pretty high on big Z, we can get a good physical Dman for under 4M in free agency.

Another dman that might be a decent cheaper option is Alec Martinez. I know he was a blocks machine in Vegas.

Is Yakov Trenin cooked? He is another guy for the 4th that I think tocc would like to have.
