I would like to see the breakdown of each individual category before judging the ranking too harshly. They give extra weight to certain attributes, poise in particular, so it's tough to judge how a player is going to handle just by looking at the overall ranking.
At first glance Kassian stands out as been ranked too high and Corrado as too low but that's what roster updates are for. I remember them have Yakupov and Tarasenko in the low to mid 60's in the release day roster and then upgrading them to high 79's/low 80''s within the first month of the season. I usually end up adjusting a bunch of the rankings in player editor anyhow.
....On a sidenote, I really wish they allowed you edit players on the fly in gm/season mode like in the NHL 2K series. If someone unexpected make the roster in real life, I want to be able to reflect that in game without having my lineup suffer or having to restart to make the change.
