What's worth more though? Hoglander getting 35-40 points making under 3M or Buch at 65 points making over 6M? This assumes Hoglander never amounts to more than he is now despite only being 23 while Buch is 29 and likely getting a pretty hefty payday.

No. Why are people jumping on trading Hoglander? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to bring in Buch but we need cheap scoring depth. Not to mention, he's finally breaking out. Trading him now feels like another McCann misfire.

Hog’s value tanks after next season when he needs a new contract. If you’re getting back a guy signed into next year at a good number, then trading Hoglander is easily justifiable. Not sure Buch at 5.8 is that guy, but I wouldn’t flinch at including Hoglander in a Crouse trade for example.

Points are only one criteria though…Buchnevich plays more meaningful minutes than Hoglander…both special teams and isn’t a liability in his own zone.

I’m really hoping that Allvin and JR are guaging the market for Lindholm.

I respect that they made a big move but it’s not working out. I would respect them so much if they called a spade a spade and tried to use him as a trade chip to go for another player than May work better w our group.
