Here’s my spreadsheet for upcoming UFAs, each team’s cap situation, and a trade tracker. I update the spreadsheet daily. I use CapFriendly to create this list and AFP Analytics for the contract projections.

Edit: Spreadsheet has been updated with AFP's latest projections and I added a new section for RFAs.

For cheaper filler, I may take a flyer on Daniel Sprong or Danton Heinen.

Reclamation projects could look at Viktor Olofsson or Jacob Vrana.

On D, Carrier would be a great add as a puck mover.
Heinen is chronically underrated. Wanted to add him last offseason. A guy you can throw anywhere in your lineup.

He's had a solid season in Boston though, so likely will be looking for a bigger contract than the 1 year near league minimum he was getting.

Olofsson and Vrana are passes. Too flawed, empty calorie guys.

Thanks for adding these points in too. Agreed. For these reasons I would not look at signing him.

Probably end up with another Pius Suter (who I like!) but at 2.5-3X the price.

He's faster than Suter but yeah I think that's basically the gist of it.

He's a good player but one that will get overpaid in UFA.

He's also in that 'Eriksson/Neal/Brower/Backes' tier of age 30 50-point 2nd liners who *always* seem to turn into lousy-value UFA signings. Guys like Tatar and Killorn again more recently.

who was the reporter asking hronek that question? i found it interesting he pushed back on the pissiness saying they gave him space all season. seems like he'd had enough of hronek.

Myers owes us considering he was literal dogshit for 3/5 years of the previous deal.

Sign a 2x1. Do it giraffeman
At some point you have to consider that this was simply a system and coaching issue. Travis Green was absolute dogshit. As soon as a system was implemented and players were held accountable, Myers looked a lot better.

Hronek talked to the media once and it was some random 1 minute between intermission segment with Murph during some road game.

And fwiw, Murph made a comment about “not talking to him much” during that segment as well!

It's pretty well documented how much Hronek hates media stuff and didn't do any for years in Detroit and you don't really want to judge a guy based on how he acts while doing the thing he likes least - especially when we haven't heard anything in either Detroit or Vancouver that his teammates don't like him - but the optics of stuff like this are not good, especially after a poor finish to the season.

yup, and he's not a guy the team likes. press privileges were revoked at one point IIRC.

That had nothing to do with him. He's actually extremely well-liked. It was because he was associated with Sekeres & Price and Craig MacEwen has bad beef with them. Once Paterson got a part time gig with The Hockey News he was immediately given his press credentials back. That continued once he joined Canucks Army and they were folded into Frank Seravalli's network.

I mean I don’t hate that they’ve revoked access for some of these guys. I definitely think this affects the performance for them if dealing with them too much. Look at Toronto as the best example.

You said that he'd be able to fetch the sort of assets required to move Mikheyev, which would be something pretty bloody large. Another poster said 'prime assets'.
That's fair - that does imply something larger. I was speaking quite generally though and if had to go back and clarify I'd probably add they're probably have to add picks or prospects from outside the transaction to move Mikheyev.

Jeff Paterson is terrible. His voice is brutal, he's almost always negative and poses everything with passive aggressive takes....except for that interview but good god what a horrendous set up for that....Uh derp Filip why did you suck the 2nd half? hurt..no? if you weren't hurt then why? We didnt bug you all year so what's the deal? You owe us?

Not sure what kind of discourse you were expecting from these guy's who have massive pride when you attack their performance in this setting.

Could have just asked the injury question and if he has learned something about himself or had some takeaways from the playoffs and his season where his production fell off.

Might have at least got him talking vs thinking who are you to ask me that you old fat fxxx and being defensive

i hate the way sports reporters ask questions but in their defence these guys only get a couple of questions and they have to lead the witness by the nose to make sure they don't misunderstand or duck the questions.

Hronek definitely could’ve been a bit more diplomatic in his response but the way Patterson was questioning him it was almost as if he wanted Hronek to say, “I stunk”. I’m sure he’s not happy with how his play transpired down the stretch and into the postseason but he also probably doesn’t want to blame an injury, especially considering Cole flat out didn’t want to discuss his injury being a hindrance.
