I always love these posts. Focus on 30ish games for players being traded to your team while completely ignoring history but when it comes to players on your team being traded away immediately bring up past years performance to highlight how good those players are. Past performance only matters to help your point not take away from it. BTW Zibs was a PPG in last years playoffs too but that doesn't matter because now he is a cap dump....So let me understand this offer.
Zibanejad, Kreider, Lindgren, pick
For
JT Miller, Boeser, Hoglander
Canucks get Zibb - a Cap Dump (He has been Awful this year)
Kreider - 11 goals 1 assist in 30 games (He has been Awful this year)
Lindgren - A defensive D-man who does not play defense (He has been Awful this year)
and a Pick (Did not mention which one, I guess it's a Awful one this year).
For
JT Miller - A hothead who is top 10 in scoring in the last 3 seasons, who is a power foward that can play LW/C/RW coming off a PPG Playoffs LAST SEASON, and who is still near a PPG This season With all the "Drama" surrounding him.
Brock Boeser - A pure sniping having another good season, and is right on trajectory for another 35/40 goal season.
and Hoglander - Okay, he has been shit this year.
I don't wanna be mean, but come on man.
And don't play the Ranger card about how they have not been that bad.
When i Lurk the Rangers board, 99% of the Posts are about Kreider/Zib/Lind to be sent to the moon
Regarding the Rangers board it could be the worst board on this site. People have literally made good posters no longer post. How pathetic is that posters got scared away by knee jerk reactions and the sky is fallen while every player sucks. "fans" have been complaining for years as the Rangers have gone to ECFs. As a Ranger fan it kind of sucks as other boards do not have the level of negativity as the Rangers board and especially when they are going far in the playoffs.
As for the value of the trade Rangers dont do this. Boeser is a UFA and his ask is going to be more than what Kreids makes. He has 1 season scoring 40 and the year prior he had 18. You have to go back 7 years to find another year he came close to 30. Consistency hasn't been his strong suit. Oh and he is actually only on pace for 30.5 goals for the year and not the 35/40 you think he is. Kreider has been a much better goal scorer the last few years and unfortunately isn't fully healthy this year. He is also probably the best net front player in the game and a really good PK player. Zero interest in Hoglander and the Rangers do not have room for him even without Kakko. Berard has looked great so far.
