Not if he doesn't want to be, whether the Flyers are interested or not (and I suspect they're not). He has a full NTC.

I can offer you Risto on the cheap, though.

If Sanheim is made available i dont see why he wouldnt waive for the Canucks. Hes a WHL kid from the Praries.

I'd have no trouble offering:

1st and Lekkerimaki as a starter.

Not sure if Philly needs a sniper like Lekky, though his game would be magic with Michkov.

I wonder if Connor Murphy is available?
Not the most offensive guy, but can eat minutes, and maybe wouldn't cost as much.
Chicago is probably either looking to upgrade their picks (quality over quantity), and/or accumulate younger guys who are closer to being ready to contribute.

Dobson should be available for the right price (a lot).

Dobson would be one of the only realistic players id consider moving Willander for since they are both RHD and Dobson is only 24 yrs old and would fit the age window of Q Hughes and Pettersson. Hronek is signed long term so there is really only 1 RHD core spot available for Canucks.

Id start with:

1st, 2025
2nd 2026
Tom Willander

Lame Lambert

And people say these two fanbases hate each other

Woah? What the heck. As an outside fan, wanna tell us why
We are a terrible hockey team, and Dobson is due for a raise next year. We'll probably become competitive again near the back end of his prime. Some fans will disagree, but others (including me) see a lot of warts with his game and would be skeptical of giving him the big deal he will ask for.

@LemonSauceD @wetcoast let’s snag Dobby from New York?

Adam Pelech is good but he is not enough of a 2way guy to fetch someone like Lekkerimaki.

Soucy also plays a big role for the team as their #1 shutdown Dman. They are most likely looking for a Top 4 Dman to play with Soucy or Myers not to replace them.

Hughes - Hronek
Soucy- xxx
Branstrom/Forbort - Myers

Desharnais
Juulsen

If it's a RHD, Pulock could replace Pelech and Soucy could be changed with something that makes the cap okay

I have a feeling Marcus Pettersson will be traded to Vanvouver.

28 yo UFA. Pens can retaining if needed.
Not a huge point getter but good at moving the puck. Can skate and good defensively (apart from this season. but pens are last or second last in every D metric so)

Depens on if they want a rental or someone with term tho, since i doubt they can afford to sign him, so would be a pure rental in that case.

Not touching Pullocks contract that has 5 more years left till his age 35 yr.

Would rather just insert Willander in March.

Dobson is probably the guy the Canucks would target if they were looking to deal with Islanders.

Canucks should be interested just for the entertainment factor of overtime hockey and putting out a lineup of Pettersson , Pettersson, Petterson.

Jokes aside. he would be a very good target for the Canucks. I'm not convinced about his puck moving abilities tho, can you elaborate more on this part of his game

Mike Reilly or Dennis Cholowski are top 4 (in the AHL) puck moving defensemen. Your choice.

Then they could scam other GMs in trades, thinking they are getting Elias Pettersson 😉

Ok fine, you convinced me. Nurse will be on the next bus. No need to thank us, just helping out a good neighbor.
I think you misread it. It says top 4 NHL dman. Nurse is more like a top 4 AHL dman or a bottom pair dman

I think he'd be a great target for Vancouver.

That said, I think just about every dingle Pittsburgh dman could be available in the right deal, lol.

so you're saying Lou is senile. dont know what they would do without Dobson, they are anemic enough offensively with him. and I dont know if Vancouver has enough to offer whatever they are asking for. probably must include EP40.

We are interested in legit top 4 dman that can skate, shoot and are big. I'm sorry but this makes me laugh. We are looking for unicorns, griffins and wizards on our blueline as well.

I mean this type of player is coveted by every single contender in the league right now. I think the more compelling storyline is that when Alvin wants to make a move, a move is made. He doesn't wait around he will find a trade probably sooner than people are expecting, much like the Lindholm trade from last year.

Not sure who his targets are but if that's what he's looking for you can expect a 1st, Lekkerimaki will be on the table.
Calgary has 2 of them that might or migjt not be available depending on the price. Weegar and Andersson.

He's always been paired with Letang or Karlsson the last couple if years. So he's not the main puck mover on his pairing. But it's not like he can't handle the puck either. And im not afraid hes gonna lose it as soon as he gets it. I'd say he's more safe than flashy and risk taking when moving the puck

Dobson? Forget it. He is like their Quinn Hughes, untoucheable and he is still very young. Even if they were to rebuild, they would still keep him

Do the Canucks have the resources to take on salary? Don't they need to do a salary out and salary in?
The has cap space and will probably look for a deal closer to january.
