According to Frank:

- Canucks are already in the market talking to teams regarding options to improve their Top 4 D
- Canucks want to get ahead of the deadline rush, much like they did last year when they acquired Zadorov in December
-Branstrom has been a pleasant surprise on the bottom pair but they want a bigger body, puck mover that is a legit top 4 D
- They might internally have the answer with Tom Willander who is a point per game 19 yr old Right Shot Dman for Boston University and was just recently named Hockey East Dman of the Week. Could they get him to sign just in time for the playoffs?

Thoughts? Which, bigger, legit Top4 Dman with Puck Moving capabilities will be available?

Assets to Sell:

2025 picks: Round 1, 2, 4, 5,6, 7
2026 picks: Round 1,2,4,5,6
2027 picks: Round, 1, 3, 4, 4, 5,6,7

Prospects: Value order (imo)

Tom Willander
Jonathan Lekkerimaki
Sawyer Mynio
Aatu Raty
Elias Pettersson ( Dman)
Kiril Kudryavstev

Roster Player that might be available:

Hoglander
Aman
Desharnais

Larsson would've been perfect, but Oleksiak would fit the Zadorov mold. Borgen is also a fit being a RHD. Desharnais has been a disappointment.

I dont think Desharnais has been a disappointment. He has been inconsistent though. He will play 2 excellent games then a poor one.

I like the size , toughness, and most of all Penalty Killing that he can bring especially in a 7 game series. He seems to also be a late bloomer with lots of growth in his game to go. Adam Foote and Gonchar will hopefully be able to help his game much like they did for Tyler Myers.

I agree Larsson would be a perfect fit for the Canucks.

We are interested in legit top 4 dman that can skate, shoot and are big. I'm sorry but this makes me laugh. We are looking for unicorns, griffins and wizards on our blueline as well.

I mean this type of player is coveted by every single contender in the league right now. I think the more compelling storyline is that when Alvin wants to make a move, a move is made. He doesn't wait around he will find a trade probably sooner than people are expecting, much like the Lindholm trade from last year.

Not sure who his targets are but if that's what he's looking for you can expect a 1st, Lekkerimaki will be on the table.

How has Provorov been ? Will Sanheim be available?

Dream: Doboson
Provorov has been a legit 1st pair guy this year. That said Columbus would be morons to trade him before the deadline, especiallycially for picks and meh players/prospects. If they cant find agreement with a contract he should be moved later in the year, not now

Hard to see the Cap working easily . . .

Adam Pelech for Soucy, Lekkerimaki and the 2025 2nd? If more money has to come back, make a suggestion.

pelech is exactly the right kind of target but the canucks can't take any long term money unless they ship out garland or maybe hoglander. they're going to be right up against the cap if they want to extend boeser

I could see Provorov being a good fit in Vancouver. And the Canucks have the assets that Columbus would be interested in:

To Vancouver: Provorov, 2025 4th round pick

To Columbus: Hoglander, Forbort, Woo, Kunz, 2026 6th

Adam Pelech is good but he is not enough of a 2way guy to fetch someone like Lekkerimaki.

Soucy also plays a big role for the team as their #1 shutdown Dman. They are most likely looking for a Top 4 Dman to play with Soucy or Myers not to replace them.

Hughes - Hronek
Soucy- xxx
Branstrom/Forbort - Myers

Desharnais
Juulsen
