I would agree except that edler had never had a fight before in his career.
I think that they should have targeted him for hits all night instead of fighting him .

Plus he was penalized (if my memory serves correct) and suspended of course.

I'm on the fence, fight or no fight made sense. in the end Elder decided it was better to answer the bell than to have it linger.

From Simmonds standpoint, he provides some value in sending a message to other teams, "injure our players at your own peril".
