My guess as to why we've reverted to last year's dump & chase system is because Therrien asked them to simplify their game and go back to basics until Price comes back.

but he did make lineup changes! Semin! Obviously he's the only reason we win or lose or whatever... that's the answer... yeah...

I'm not sure if our team is closer to the October performance or this performance... obviously we're not this bad, so I'd guess somewhere in the middle leaning towards October, but we need a top-6 impact forward.

Anyways, seems like I made a smart choice switching over to Raw instead.

Agreed. If Therrien's plan is to use DD's line as the second line... yikes. That line is not a top 6 line.

Time for MB to finally improve the top 6 for more than 20 games at the end of the year. Habs top 6 has been bad for years.

That would be too many roster moves. Therrien is incapable of more than bench Semin, sub flynn.

Or rotate galchenyuks right winger

To be fair, MT is showing patience. We heard a lot about him swapping lines too easily and quite frankly I like that there's patience to let them work things out and show faith in them.

The only issue is some lines(namely Galchenyuk's) need help beyond Semin/Flynn.

At the beginning of this year, I thought we'd look more like the shortened season team...

but now we've just gone back to hacking the puck down the ice without any real possession. "The system" tends to make our players work harder than they need to, and it leads to slumps like this where we can't catch a break because there is no energy left. Therrien does not coach creativity, and when the energy and speed wares down, it shows.

It's MT's fall back strategy when things go a little south. The teams is struggling a little without their best player so he's back to the safe boring approach. Remains to be seen what will happen when Price returns but I'm not holding my breath that we'll see the up tempo aggressive team we saw start this season again. :(

Indeed. Very, very good 3rd line. Doesn't cut it on the Top-6.

Not only Pleks. His buddies Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Eller need to remove theirs also. I'll even add MT as well who's done nothing to light a fire under anyone on the Pleks or Galchenyuk lines. Only Gallagher is doing anything out there between these 2 lines. Maybe try a little shake up to see what happens to these lines?

I expect smarter play from Pleks...I agree there's a few of the lads that are playing dumb, but I hold Pleks more accountable for playing heads up hockey.

If MB feels no need to make a trade, then bring up one of holloway, hudon or big mac to wake up eller and chucky
