Great news. Has been an upgrade on OEL at league minimum.

Essentially the same contract as Di Giuseppe.

I copied the thread title and just changed the name. Surprised he agreed to a two-way deal but very thrilled about it. Very similar contract to how they handled Martin's deal. Don't mind going about depth this way at all.

Great! Pleasantly surprised by the news based on what was suggested by many posters here. There was supposed to be a bidding war on him and no way the Canucks will able to afford him. :)

I cannot complain about this signing one bit. Just a solid depth piece on the back end for minimum dollars.

Guy also has this resting stoner face which I find hilarious.

Man - that's a nice piece of business.

He's played quite well since coming in, well enough to be a consideration for the top three pairs heading into next fall, depending on who comes and goes in the off season.

And at worst, he's an excellent player for Abbotsford.

This and the Di Giuseppe deals are really nice pieces of work for depth. Good stuff.

Awesome news. He'll be a big help on the bottom pairing with his puck moving ability. Now each pairing has a guy that can hit a forward with a pass. This should help the team start to play faster and help some of our slower forwards get a little less exposed for their lack of footspeed.

Wolanin and Di Giuseppe are really good guys to keep. Prolific at the AHL level and have been good enough on the main roster.
Yes these are the glue types you sign cheap to compete against the latest greatest prospect rookie so they have to meet and exceed a quality depth piece not be gifted a roster spot with overpaid mentors paid based on what they did before in a different organization.

Good to have Wolanin back. He's a bit soft but has very good range, solid positioning and battle and a very good transitional up ice pass that gets the team moving in the right direction.
