I think legitimately his worst game this year.

Some folks are saying this looks like a continuation from before the break, but I think the D was worse today then the last bunch of games.

I don't think it's a permanent thing though

I will chalk it up to just general rust from time away.

I think Thursday they will be back in groove.

Honestly, this is why I tend not to complain much about missed calls or bad calls against us. We've been fortuitous enough to get a pretty good amount of penalties drawn in overtime this year. Even going back to the earlier OT wins in November with Dougie and Zetterlund. One of them was against Calgary and one of them was against Ottawa.

Yeah. And they missed a call on Sharangovich earlier in OT on Miller. Clear hook. Devils had the officials on their side tonight

I didn't even realize Mercer was playing today

He didn't stand out, but I promise, I'll let you know when he's not playing.

Very nice win. I said Toch would have the boys ready to play and he's been giving the NJD fits all the way back to his playing days, as Dano can attest to. VAN is looking like a very dangerous team under Toch and two points will no longer a guarantee for their opponents. I said this would be a very tough 2 points for the NJD and it was absolutely was.

This win was especially key because don't look now, but FLA with a HUGE blowout victory over the Bolts tonight. They're white hot at the moment and had a season changing win going into the break over the Broons and now a very convincing one against their cross state rival and 3x defending SCF team.

NYb had a strong 2-1 win over a very underrated Philthy team that always plays hard and shows a lot of heart and are very gutsy and gives it their all.

Rags won in OT also on a very nice goal from LAF, who is turning into a stud before our eyes.

It'll be a tight stretch run. Can't count out DET or the Senzzzz either and the CBJ will also be a very tough out and will regularly be playing spoiler down the stretch.

The one call that really pissed me off recently was the Blackwood penalty for tripping a guy making a save. That was a terrible penalty call and it led to a PP goal.

That was a stupid call and the only one from this year against us that I'll probably still remember in a month or two from now.

I was only able to watch the OT tonight, what was our bottom 6 lines?

Maybe it's time to call up Graeme Clarke and give him a shot.
Tartar-Haula-Mercer
BMW line.

3rd line was very meh other than a few good cycles with Tartar, Mercer had a couple of good plays but Haula just blows everything up on offense when he touches the puck.
Wood had some pretty bad passes as usual but a good effort on a back check, Bastian was just kinda there. McLoed had a pretty good game.
