Mostly agree.

Noticed even in the preseason that Cole does a lot of good in him but he randomly has a shift where he has a little bit of Sbisa in him.

Overall, I think both those pairings started badly but seemed better after the first ten minutes.

I do think Hirose played better today than Wolanin did in the preseason. I still think he should be in Abbotsford and Wolanin should be up, but a lot of this is due to weird cap situations and injuries.

Another one I was looking for to have a good game today was Beauvillier, and he just didn't. Felt like nothing really bounced his way on the ice and never was able to gain any separation or space. Just felt like a passenger in the game.

Garland only played 9 minutes today. Must have been sick as well because he played well. Also just wonder about if that was a mutual agreement given the trade situation.

Interesting. I thought Beauvillier had his best game since his first 10 or so after the trade last year.

Not a lot came off offensively but I thought he worked his ass off and skated miles and did a great job on the forecheck.

When he’s bad he looks soft and perimeter-y and I didn’t think that was the case at all today.

Demko looked like Luongo tonight…. Heading off to the sh*tter mid game.

But seriously as someone who just had that flu bug, it’s no joke. Props to Demmer.

So happy for Boeser right now!

Oh yeah, Jim Matheson was right.
Leon is a little b****
I thought Oilers' goalies looked like Luon8o.

He was one of those guys that just didn't let the Oilers get anything going. There were so many plays where a guy would be getting his stick into passing lanes, and there would be a help defender ready to pick it up and pass it out of the zone instead of just letting it deflect out. Beauvillier was one of those sticks - Suter and PDG were also excellent at it
