cant blame Eriksson with all those fans watching. Pressure can get to the best of players
Rathbone just had a 5 point night with a PP clap bomb goal.
This guy is going to overmarinade like some brisket

Juulsen is ready for some big minutes too. He's skating well and looking like our quickest RD.. I like what's brewing beneath our top 4 defencemenRathbone just had a 5 point night with a PP clap bomb goal.

I've been pleased with Juulsen - I think a combination of finally being healthy for an extended stretch, and playing in his hometown has rejuvenated him a bit. He's been really solid in Abbotsford, and has been about as good as could be hoped for in his spot-NHL duty.
I don't know if I agree with this but ok. I know the stats don't lie that we are playing good 5v5 defense but this just seems like leaning on our "vets" to eke out tight games - which is the opposite of how we played in the beginning with Bruce. Lets go Brad Hunt the shut down defenseman
I can't get over that anyone could think that the good defensive results we're seeing are in any way connected to what tiny defensive liability Brad Hunt is doing in limited sheltered minutes over Thatcher Demko providing Vezina-calibre goaltending.
Brad Hunt has been outscored 26-10 at ES in only 29 games over the past two seasons.

Agreed,..out of all those injury filler players last year (Vesey,Boyd,Michaelis ,Hawryluk etc)...Highmore was the best one.Highmore out - covid protocol.
What a difference from last year. Highmore was pffffft. Now I like him a lot with Motte and Lammiko. He'll be missed.
I don't know how many players traveled outside Canada during the all-star break, but you have to wonder about the instructions they might have received from the Canucks medical staff.
From all reports, Hughes came in contact with COVID in the U.S.....and it may or not be a co-incidence that his brother Jack Hughes has also entered COVID protocol. I imagine one or both of them spent time in Michigan.
But the reality is that people are simply at greater risk in the U.S. than they are in Canada. Fewer people vaccinated; a lot of no mask-wearers and just a more laissez faire attitude about contacting or spreading COVID. And the worst part of it is that having been forced to quarantine in the U.S., Hughes will now be required to quarantine again when he returns to Canada--and as a result will miss even more time.
Too bad the Canucks didn't follow the lead of the Canadian Government and the World Health Organization--and urged people to stay home.
