That does annoy me.

I have henrik in my pool and i recently traded kopitar, i can tell you kings home town scoring would have given that as an assist.

Recently kopitar passed the puck to carter, carter was poke checked by marty, marty pushed the puck to gaborik who shot it in.

Secondary assist for kopitar, he received 5 in total that night.

Pad the stats canucks score keepers, everyone does it.

Detroit gave datsyuk a goal when we played them that he didnt even touch.

Heck they even have assists for that Datsyuk goal.

I wish Edler played this way more often. Too bad.

He has been playing this way most of the year. He is our MVP this year. Without him and Tanev the team would be lost. They literally are the only thing the team has going for itself on defense. I did not believe Edler could play this good. He is skating well, lighting up players on the other team and making great breakout passes. Probably need to give Tanev alot of credit as he is a great partner at turning the play the opposite way but Edler now seems to have moved beyond the usual Tanev effect and is driving the play himself as well. Right now we have our #1 and #2D we are missing our number 3 and 4 Dman though.
On another note Kassian made a couple very good hits tonite, he thinks too much out there, but you need a couple forwards out there that the other team can not run through. With him out of the line up the opposite can run around with their ears pinned back. Vey is a cute player but unless he is replacing a injured, Sedin Vrbata or Bonino he is not helping the makeup of the team. If Vancouver did not have Kassian they would be trying to trade for a player like him. I do not care if he scores much i just want to see him finish some checks and keep the opposition honest.

Vancouver
Sedin sedin vrbata
Vey bonino kassian
burrows horvat dorsett
matthias richardson hansen

I cant really handle talking about matthias anymore, people are just going to say he drew 2 pp tonight and he had breakaways, both the result of passes from zack kassian.

higgins can fetch a 2nd, and with his playoff performance in past years it would be a great move, nyi maybe?

higgins needs a rest, and to be honest he's he perfect chip to send for a 2nd

The Canucks have one of the most liberal scoring keepers in the league.

Didn't watch the game but from the highlights two things stick out

1) This was the Ryan Miller show

2) Sbisa is a useless tit

Oh and that should probably be a couple of assists on the Vrbata goal. Miller didn't have control, poked that blindly away from Howard...hardly any possession there.

Good bounce back game by the veterans today after that brutal performance last game. Hopefully we can see more consistency from here on out.

Miller made some key saves which kept us in the game. You still feel like a healthy Hamhuis will some relieve pressure on him with the # of shots against, still hoping we can acquire another defenseman.

It was an entertaining back and forth game imo. Both teams kept exchanging great chances. Both were a bit to loose at times defensively, canucks had quite a few chances themselves (could have had even more but on a few they opted to make uncalled for passes as usual that ruined the scoring opportunity). If you check the wings board they thought it was a game they deserved to loose. And miller was very good.

Sedin line put up all of the offense tonight. That's all well and good, but the rest of them team is still a cause for concern.

That second line needs to be sorted out. And by that, I mean broken up entirely. Higgins and Bonino started the year off great and all, but together, they are offensive black holes right now. That's not to say we can't revisit it later on, but I really think it's time to change things up for a bit of a fresh look here.

3rd line had a good possession game, as has frequently been the case. Richardson was quiet, but solid. Kassian what passable, but a complete ghost on a lot of his defensive shifts - hanging out in open ice, stick in the air... Matthias gave the Detroit D some trouble, but his hands are what they are.

4th line was good defensively. Short shifts kept them out of the offensive zone, it seemed.

Edler was cleaning house, and Tanev was keeping it steady behind him. That's exactly what we want from that pairing - and it's great to see Edler's stellar play awarded with a couple points. He almost got a Gordie Howe Hatrick when he nearly had it out with Abdelkader at the end there.

Other two pairings were good - fairly low-profile game, in a good way.

Miller was just outstanding. Glad to see a game like this out of him after that stinker against LA.

Team needs a little more finish then that. They generated a lot of chances tonight just from watching those highlights.

Goodgame by Miller again. He has looked very good the last few nights outside of 1 minute.

I can't wait for Hamhuis to come back and have two really solid, reliable pairings. I hope Edler and Tanev keep playing together as it's clear that they work so well together.

Honestly, I've been happy with Sbisa over the past few weeks. He has improved substantially since he initially came, which I suppose isn't saying much considering he wasn't fitting in at first. I'd say Sbisa has played well recently.

Edler isn't perfect but even when he makes a mistake now he makes up for it by mauling someone. It's so nice to see some star players on the other team get mauled for a change. Edler really stepped up to help the team move the play today so it was nice to see him rewarded with a couple points.

Sbisa and Edler are definitely neck and neck for the "most improved" award. Well... for D men... cuz Burrows and Hansen

I think Edler-Tanev stays together without a doubt. I hope Hamhuis and Bieksa get paired back up, though I see merit for putting Sbisa there instead. ..he's been better than Bieksa for most of this season.

It's hard to say who sits between Stanton and Weber. Honestly, they've both been good. I think Stanton plays.

I am guessing from memory you likely seen that tic tac toe rush where edler passed it to howards pad instead of shooting in the slot, and instead of going in for a potential breakaway trying to drive to the net matthias left the puck behind with nobody near him.

Would also be nice if horvat scored on his breakaway but it was a good try. Great save by howard.

Sedins obviously had a good bounceback night. Vrbata may not be prime Burrows at even strength but he's close to prime Samuelsson on the powerplay. Nice for Henrik to get his 200th, when they were talking about the 13 game goalless drought I had a feeling he'd bump it with an EN...didn't think it would be on a shot 150 ft from the net!! The top line carried the team again, and you can see the enormous difference on the ice when Bonino's line is on because they're contributing nothing. I'd allot a good chunk of their ice time to Richardson's line until they wake up. Matthias had another strong game. Thought Kassian was okay, better than Vey but not exactly "you can't afford to keep me out of the lineup" good. Fourth line had their chances. Horvat looked good in his limited minutes.

Edler...man what a resurgence. A complete 180 of last season; happy to admit I was totally wrong about him. Playing like a #1 right now, gotta hope he can keep it up. Tanev's play is pushing him into the range where he'd be worth it at 5M per season. Ryan Stanton has also flown under the radar and continues to look excellent. Probably our third best defenseman in all honesty, and is the biggest reason Bieksa looks so much better. And now that he isn't with Bieksa, Sbisa looks better too. Excited to see how things look when Hamhuis is back...it won't happen, but I'd sit Sbisa and play Hammer with Weber to create three balanced pairings. Just gotta hope Stanton doesn't come out of the lineup in any case.

Miller had an excellent game, good to see him string a couple of these in a row. Deserved the win in LA but the team let him down. About time he "stole" a game, although his overall work this season is a totally different story.

Ooh, and Hansen looked great. Forgot about him, but he's really been buzzing recently. Good to see.

My love for hearing Hughson call these games is tempered by listening to Simpson.

*Miller stops Datysuk in close*
"Yeah, well, you know that Datsyuk didn't get the A-Shot off if he'd tracked it properly."
*Henrik scores the 1st empty netter*
"Well, if he misses that, I gurantee you we have a different outcome to this game. Bad thing to miss." (well he freaking didn't, clown!)

There was a third one that ground my gears, but now I can't remember.

Of course he's going to ****ing hit the empty net from a distance. Henrik is the best passer in the world.
