I thought Lack played good but that last one was a bad goal. Hope Bieksa is okay but the fact he didn't return and left with the doctor doesn't look good. Visor's should be mandatory you're only given one set of eyes and the game is fast much faster than back in the day.

This is what I don't get. I can see if it was like a nose. Get it broken it might look funny but it will still function. If you lose an eye it affects you for the rest of your life.

Not a good effort ... clearly the 2nd best team on the ice. Had some chances in an entertaining first period, then were completely shut down the rest of the way.

- Lack was good, have to feel for him when he gets nothing but the 2nd game of back-to-backs against top teams while Miller gets the creampuff game against Edmonton the night before.

- Edler was just trash tonight. Same horrible player we saw last year ... constantly bailed out by Tanev, conceded a half-dozen odd-man rushes, gets walked on the winning goal. Tanev was excellent again, best Canuck on the ice.

- hopefully Bieksa is OK. At least the puck wasn't traveling quickly at all when it hit him.

- Hamhuis was OK, but his skating seems to be dropping off. Losing more footraces than I've ever seen.

- Sbisa had a very good first period, then fell off. The hit/fight was awesome and will get noticed, but I actually felt that Weber was the stronger guy on that pairing tonight.

- Sedins worked hard but were checked into the ground. Coaches needed to do a better job getting them away from Weber. Vrbata is really falling off.

- 2nd line was invisible aside from one great chance from Higgins. Bonino really quiet and needs a better option on the wing.

- Kassian, Matthias, and Dorsett were again probably our most effective forwards. Vey was OK.

- Sestito hurt, no loss really.

Wonder who we'll call up if Bieksa is hurt for any time. Guessing it'll be Corrado but doesn't sound like he's playing well at all in the AHL.

Well said

Matthias played as well as he could be expected to play, he is just talentless. I know Willie likes to roll the lines, but seeing Matthias and Dorsett out there when we need a goal just doesn't make sense no matter how hard they work.

Edler played 28:09.

isn't the travel between LA/Ducks not that far away......just a bus ride but LA is going to make the team tried which is why Willie need 4 solid center

That's a sign we desperately need to shore up our defense.

Edler's been pretty solid this season, but he's not a franchise D-man and can't be played like one, but there's no real choice given our defensive depth, especially when injuries pile up.

Exactly. I think its a macho thing you wear a visor your not considered tough that mind set has to change Kassian and Matthais need to wear one the game has changed to the point where guys are fighting with them on, change with the game.

I think we will do just fine. Sharks quite frankly arnt that good. LA is a hit or miss. The Ducks will be tough, but something tells me the team wants to kick Keslers butt. I predict we go 3 for 4 on the trip.

Wow Bieksa got injured, not good. Our D is already bad enough. This is disaster for this road trip.

I'm definitely interested to see how we do against the Cali teams. Last year we could mostly stick with them but we lacked the skill to generate any real scoring chances. This team has shown more ability to create scoring plays but is definitely not as strong defensively. Should be entertaining anyway.

With the way the teams line up in the playoffs now being able to beat the californian teams consistently is the single most important criteria for judging this team. You are not going anywhere if you can't make it out the first round.

At this point I can only point out 3 bad games for our guys this year: Colorado, Dallas and Edmonton (once). I actually thought we played well in the first period against Dallas and got incredibly unlucky.

Today, was the first time our guys looked out of gas and uninterested in the game.

Carolina game was bad too, just that Carolina was worse.

Bieksa was actually having a solid game before his injury, he was blocking shots and in position. Hoping he is alright, hard to imagine the Canucks without Bieksa.

Carolina did go on to beat la and arizona after we played them, dont think they are quite that bad with staal in the line up. I also didnt think we played bad that game either but I know the critics felt different.
