Pity this board now that I feel emboldened to post Freddie pics again!

Washington just played the most hilariously frustrating OT against Columbus. Controlled the puck for almost 3 minutes straight while the Jackets couldn't get off the ice, at one point a Jackets player was just hobbling around on one foot unable to keep up, and the Caps just kept circling and backward-passing and floating back to the neutral zone and passing up shots. Finally a turnover, Gaudreau who had been out there the entire time basically just staggers the other way and makes a nifty assist on the GWG.

I know the Canes can be frustrating at times, but honestly it can get so much worse.

It's like, they knew you're supposed to circle the neutral zone but had zero idea for what purpose. It was odd to watch.

If season ended today we play Isles round 1, which I think would be an ideal matchup. Devils beat Rags and we can beat Devils leaning on our playoff experience and their softness. Bruins would play Florida who honestly have the best chance at an upset of Boston in round 1. Tampa and Toronto both scare the hell out of me — Toronto if they get the round 1 monkey off their back have a damn good team and Tampa of course has represented the East in the Cup finals the last 3 years. ECF will be a serious challenge either way if we can get there but there is a path to get there even with our injuries.

Weird TV moment in the NYI/TML game. 3 goal game with 6 minutes left, faceoff in the Isles zone. They quickly cut to highlights of the GWGs in the Canes/NYR and Wild/Devils games. Because of the highlight commentary, they're not telling us that Toronto has pulled their goalie for the offensive zone faceoff, despite the large deficit and a lot of time left. So they get finished with the Wild highlight, cut back to the live game and all you see is a puck bouncing down the ice into an empty net, completely out of context.
