Oh he getting booed
"In the locker room afterward, DeAngelo cracked to Georgiev as he walked by the goalie, “Make a f***ing save.” Georgiev took a swing, the two Rangers were separated, and DeAngelo, already on team probation for an incident a few weeks prior, was banished. (Two people present for the comment and the fight confirmed the details.)"

:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:Can't make this shit up.

Aho - 2.82
Staal - 2.74
Trocheck - 1.63

As consistently impressive as the Staal line has been the past several months, I do worry about the sustainably of its production in the playoffs. I'd feel better about this team if in the next few weeks, Trocheck clicks with a whatever combination of Svechnikov/Jarvis/Teravainen/Domi/Necas. Brind'Amour has tried pretty much everything recently. Keep cycling through them, I guess.

Trocheck really needs to step it up, his season has largely been a disappointment for a "#2 center" on a contending team. And at this rate, I'd hesitate to sign him for a mid/long term contract at his current cap hit, let alone a significant pay raise (as is expected) to be honest...

Yeah, I went into this season expecting that we'd re-sign Trocheck and Nino would be the odd man out with the Necas raise as well. Well, Necas ain't due for much of a raise right now and right now I'd take Nino over Tro. But Tro does play a much more valuable position, so it may be worth the gamble on him.

and I got this peculiar screachy voice in my head asking: "How! How is this story developing! Is there a twist coming up! Is he about to become less dead all of the sudden!"

I wouldn't make any judgments at all about player value until the postseason rolls around. We've clinched a playoff spot with plenty of room to spare. We dodged a huge bullet with Kotkaniemi, so now it's about resting the bodies and making sure nobody gets severely hurt.

What a testament to this man's peculiar genius, that so many people can immediately conjure his voice in their heads. Gone too soon.
