What's amazing to me is not how bad our success rate is on the power play -- and it is bad -- but what stuns me is how ridiculously gawd-awful we look on at least half our opportunities. It makes me wonder how we score at all. A solid 50 percent of our power plays, we can't even make a simple entry or a cross-ice pass. If we only counted the times that we actually set up in the offensive zone, I bet our percentage would be pretty reasonable. But at least half the time, we can't even manage that much.
