I’m not sure a forward has played that much regulation time in the history of the Hurricanes.

Hmm. Dec 26th, 2007 Brind'Amour had 27:41 TOI, no OT.

Nov 30, 2007 Brind'Amour had 27:30 TOI, no OT.

Jan 12, 2008 he had 26:00 TOI, no OT.

Looks like there are some other likely candidates from that season, but they went to OT and I'm not sure how much play time he got during OT.

Looks like it was happening in prior seasons as well.

I vaguely recall Brind'Amour regularly playing as much or more than #1Ds.
