That’s right. You heard the news yesterday. It was all the buzz. Tony DeAngelo will (likely) play for the New York Islanders tonight!
Oh, were you expecting some other news? Did something else happen yesterday? Did the DeAngelo news subvert your expectations?
Well, get used to that, because there’s no one better at subverting expectations than the Carolina Hurricanes. They’ve won 4 straight, against very tough opponents (for the most part…) and now face an Islanders team that has struggled mightily this year and seems to have no organizational direction. So obviously, they should win tonight, right?
Anyway, I’ll know later if all the acquisitions will play tonight or not. Right now, I have no more idea than the rest of you.
