In some ways it makes sense. I mean in the sense that we don't have a lot of options right now. He's a gritty banger who can win board battles in the offensive zone to keep it in. Plus he's not trying to be fancy. Just gritty straight line hockey.

Melrose said he lost a tooth this morning. I mean at his age you don't "lose" teeth they get pulled. So if he had a tooth pulled this morning why they hell didn't they replace him? My first though was damn what the hell happened to Melrose so at least he's not like recovering from a stroke or anything but why they hell is he working a job he has to talk for after that. Damn ESPN!

A little but they weren't wrong. Melrose also told Bucci that Necas wasn't on his way that he was already here. Complimented Skjei more then once and talked about how Aho is good enough to pick up the slack of missing Patches and Svech.
I know sometimes national teams don't pay as much attention to teams like Carolina but they are not talking shit about us. Melrose even said while talking about the Flyers that despite he liked how they played he said " not saying they can win, just they are playing well"
