Burns was more "Trent from Kinetico".Burns gets a lot of blame for his play tonight, but Slavin has also been quite bad tonight

The Kwisatz Hainseyach!
So a 5-1 blowout with a happy ending?Really nice job by robidas on his goal. That was one hell of a hand job.
Does anyone know if Kotkaniemi played another shift after his lower body issue?
It continues to astound me how little info there is on Canes twitter re: these sort of things.
Canes twitter is one thing but the Canes broadcast acted like MI5 with no info for quite some time. Too busy talking about Buffalo & other nonsensical stuff.Does anyone know if Kotkaniemi played another shift after his lower body issue?

Don't you dare go stealing my thunder
Amazingly that’s the first 5-1 loss for the Canes since 2018
How many of those did Tuomo Ruutu score the only goal in the last 5 minutes of the game?

Morrow has a Exhibit 5 Schedule A performance bonus, Stankoven has a Games Played bonus for 10 or more games.Any youngins have performance bonuses to play for?
So what happened last night? Didn’t get to watch.
Also, Tripp’s commentary last night was wild. Suggesting we break from the established rotation to start Freddie against Buffalo and essentially use Kotchetkov as a sacrificial lamb against the Caps was so far beyond the pale.

Because of Ovechkin? Or because in a chippy game, you don't want your starting goaltender getting run into?
I assumed it was because of Ovechkin. Tripp probably realizes that there’s a high likelihood that whoever starts against the Caps will be the goalie that is etched in history as giving up THE goal and he doesn’t want that to be Freddie.
Because otherwise, why would you break from the rotation and not start the goalie that has looked FAR better in recent games against the tougher opponent? And allow Kotchetkov to try and regain some confidence against a Buffalo team (that has, admittedly, looked better of late)?
I think you change it up at some point to give Kochetkov the final game and more rest to Freddie.I assumed it was because of Ovechkin.
