"Oh, that's the first one going on I think there. I was just standing in front of the net ..."

Chantel did well on the out of town scoreboard aside from the Sharks/Blues game.

Funny the amount of Caps fans that can't believe they are losing to a "bad team". Guess they havnt checked the standings this season. Can't blame them with the way its been going for them i suppose.

winnipeg up 1-0 on the leafs in the 1st. need the leafs to win that game to get back up to 5 points ahead of winnipeg. and if the panthers can come back and beat TB (TB up 2-1 right now in the 2nd) then we would be at least 10 points ahead of the other 3 SE teams.

looking at standings, Boston has more points (37) with, somehow, only 23 games played. Leafs and Sens have 31 points in 26 games, so assuming we win tonight, we will be tied in points but have the game in hand. The Devils are tied with us in points, but have played 2 more games (not including the one we are currently playing). of course, none of that really matters because of the Division lead we have, but still fun to look at. If we win and Leafs lose, we would be 5th in the division if the automatic top 3 spot werent in play. But looking at the west, we have more points than the whole Atlantic Division. yeah.

I'm not going to go off on a rant or anything, and I know I have an irrational hate-on for Tim Gleason, but that secondary assist on the third goal is just silly. He *iced the puck*. If it wasn't for Patty Dwyer busting it, the faceoff comes back into our end. Plus, if we keep giving him assists when he ices the puck, he may think he should do it even more than he already does.

How is it any different than Pitkanen's intentional icing that he always used to do?

There's nothing silly about it.
