King of the Hill is probably one of those shows that gets better the older you get.

Never saw it, never probably will. I don’t watch much TV to begin with, but animated shows like Simpsons and King of the hill were never ones I watched.

What's funny is that "I'm just resting my eyes" has been my wife's line since we've been married. She's always been one that falls asleep early, usually watching TV. I'll come in the room and ask her if she's asleep, and she always says "I'm just resting my eyes".

I haven't watched Bless the Harts, it looks cringy to me from the previews, but it's not the reason King of the Hill reboot wasn't green-lit by Fox.

We’re really focused on what are the new shows that we believe can creatively break out, that we also have a significant ownership stake in, and if not outright own 100 percent of it. And on a show like King of the Hill, which we love, there’s really no opportunity for us to have an ownership stake in that show. It’s not a move that we can make as we grow out our next wave of animation, where ownership is so, so crucial to the long-running success of these series.
