Michkov will bring glory and the legendary status back in this town.

A no-brainer.

What do we have to lose? Another irrelevant era? Who cares?! Take your best shot.

Montreal been declining since the 1970s. No more.

Montreal has to impose itself back "in the conversation".

What happens here matters.

People here matter.
Probably nothing on boards matters.

And Montreal will keep declining because now it's Canada and North America as a whole declining.

I won't hear any of your negativity, DAChampion.

Montreal is geographically Lindy. It will prevail over Toronto in the long run. Always.

How about you put your money where your mouth is, and lay down a wager that Michkov won't be better than Smith when he arrives to the NHL?

Because I'll take that bet every day. That goes for anyone, either I'll lose my shirt or make a killing. :)

It's a risk I'm willing to take.
The kind of skill level and the overall game of Michkov is a mystery. It's unprecedented and I can't say if it's a good sign or a bad sign. Does he have exactly the kind of game to be a star in NHL or he is better suited for KHL?

At least I would be trilled to see him on a PP because of his dekes and shooting. He's amazing, he can even be better than Kovalev.

I’m willing to hold the money in escrow.

Only love to see it if it results in us picking Michkov.

Otherwise, it's poor chess, 5D or not.
There could be another Dach-type trade. Some other moves. It’s been reported that Hughes was aggressively pursuing opportunities — my comment was only underscoring that part. I like what he’s done so far, is all.

The Bruins have been irrelevant since they traded Lucic.

That's what I mean by soul-level.

Noticed they got a crap ton of points this year? Who will remember this team? Nobody cares. Nobody will.

But their team when they had Chara-Lucic-Bergeron-Boychuk-Thornton-Thomas, that was a memorable team.

Points and wins are irrelevant.

Lucic left a deeper mark on the Boston bruins' subconscious than Pastrnak ever will.
Yeah maybe but Lucic was getting slower. Strange you didn't mentioned Marchand. He's the definition of a Bruins (character) and Bergeron is the little genious IQ.

But I don't want to argue about the irrelevant, winning, symbolic and loser mentality you're throwing in your recent posts. It's heavy and I feel you're going to insult me in a minute. It doesn't affect me that much, it's just I don't want to get into that. HFB is not the place for that, it exceed the field of this board.

Winning and glory are crucial.

This is the difference between a kid from Montreal thinking he can make it in the world at large and thinking he's stuck in some irrelevant place.

You see the distinction between the boomers and the new generations looking up to "people in the States".

No more.

Montréal.

We define the world, the world doesn't define us.

If the world has a problem with that, it can go f*** itself.

Your name suits you. :) While not everyone will. I appreciate your spirit.

No, Marchand came in at the wrong time. He didn't blossom when the team was charismatic.

He himself couldn't bring the amount of spiritual focus that Lucic brought to the Boston fanbase, but granted Lucic came at exactly the right time too.

Lucic provided them with a Neely-like figure, who marked their imagination, like Kovalev marked ours as a Lafleur-life figure, even if both were lesser versions. But at least, they were still versions of exactly what both fanbases wanted deep in their souls.

Marchand will be a Bruins legend but in the end he never left an emotional mark as deep as Lucic's.

Can’t we all just get along? We’re all fans of the same team and none of our posts are going to impact the ultimate decisions being taken. Let’s enjoy the ride.

I understand your point of view and it holds both value and merit. I could be wrong, but I don't think he means to insult persay he's just very passionate about his beliefs.
