That probably means one of Suzuki, Dach or Dvorak won't play. All three were not practicing today. D-Vo did miss a portion of the second period last night. So my guess it's him.
Curious why they didn't call up a Nate Schnarr from Laval instead. I still prefer seeing Beck. But it is curious why they didn't look to call someone up from the minors and went straight to Junioir.
Imagine if it's Kirby Dach he replaces? Emergency call up for Team Canada at the WJC to replace Colton Dach. Emergency call up to the NHL to replace Kirby Dach.

Laval is also being empty up....so that might be the reason.
And as you already know, he was one of the best prospect at camp....did better than some guys that are with the team now!

Really glad he's getting this nod.
Hope, and with this strong leadership group I frankly expect, that Roy got a call with some context to why the team went with Beck... It's the kids nd of small, personal gesture that makes a world of difference.

Probably just has to do with Edmundson's injury. Instead of playing Wideman, why not call up Beck for a couple of games

Beck is going to be a really good NHL player for many years to come. He have all thing to succeed. Hockey IQ, hands, shot, two-way ability

Yes they are. And as a result, even 3R is depleted since their best players have been called up to Laval.
But with two more games until All-Star break followed by their bye-week, I figured they'd still call someone up from Laval. And I would think it would be Schnarr since he's a center and that's what they need.
I say that, but I'd much rather see Beck than Schnarr.
When is the last time there was a junior emergency call up?

But what is the hell is happening to all the C this year? Today Suzuki, Dvorak and Dach all skipped practice, Dach has been skipped them for a little while now. Evans and Monahand were already injured. Drouin was playing center and got injured again. Suzuki has been looking like crap for a while too...
The Habs really need their little yearly vacation (the bye-week).
