Post-Game Talk: Canadiens @ Rangers 2/19/13 - Moar Icing

At this point, I'm wondering if the yelling and screaming by Torts might be wearing thin.

Right now I question his ability to coach. Things haven't improved at all with regards to our offense as well as the PP.

I understand all that. It's my fault, after I sent that I felt bad, i'm just irked at the game and took what you said personally because I'm definitely one of those pissed off people right now. haha

Definitely? So, you've seen enough. The guy is 25 years old. Why hasn't he stuck before? I did not see anything that would lead me to believe he is an NHL player. That doesn't mean he doesn't deserve more chances. One game is not enough to judge.
 
For me, it's a lot less about the W-L record than it is about putting for a consistent effort.

The ups and downs of the team this year have been incredibly frustrating. Especially since last year, win or lose, you got a more than solid effort 80-90% of the time.
 
The passing and puck support on this team can be so dismal at times.
Watching an unpressured pass go into a teammate's skates, just off the tip of an outstretched stick blade, or 7 feet ahead of the intended target, just makes me feel defeated inside.

If you really think at this rate we will be the same team we were last season, then you make a bet with me for $500.00 right now!

Offense being a problem last season, we get Nash, and we still are ****ing anemic, even worse.
 
I do notice however, that we refuse to screen unless its Lundqvist and the other team has the puck lol.

Because he was around the puck, got pucks to the net and can drop the gloves with most people. Players like him normally stick somwhere.
 
The reactions from people are because they see the team trending downwards, not upwards. I don't give a **** that they beat the capitals on sunday. that was sunday. I don't care that they beat the islanders two thursdays ago. I don't care about any of their previous wins. I care about what comes next. Moving forward, it's not looking good. That game couldn't have been more disheartening.

I think the thing I hate the most is that I know the game's over before it starts. I saw Nash was out tonight. I saw that his line has been the only one doing anything the past few games. I knew it was over.

Oh please..... cool it with the pseudo-philosophising. We are fans, and this is how fans act. Don't act like being emotional after a tough loss is some web site or generation-centric notion. It's called being a human being.

I take offense to that, because when I am at the Garden and I see disgusting, lazy hockey, I yell out my disgust to who deserves it as loud as I can, and would to any of their faces.

The team has been in my blood for 22 of my 31 years on this planet. I call it tough love. :rant:

The thing is, I don't "really think" they'll be anything good or bad. I think the season is young and started off weird and the team isn't up to the level they're capable of yet. I think the knee-jerk "we suck" statements are the same exact sort of stuff I read early last year. I think that this board has become almost completely full of people who want to sit around and whine incessantly no matter what the team looks like. They looked awful tonight, no doubt, but the whining isn't new.

What was said when Nash got here? We'd improve on the PP, Richards and Gaborik wouldn't have to carry most of the load.

So far, the latter has happened..and they took it way too heart.
