I feel like when we win, we win IN SPITE of Tortorella's coaching and system. Not because of him if that makes sense. I feel like he is holding back this team from accomplishing so much more with his garbage hockey. DUMP GRIND DUMP GRIND. I'm tired of this clown not using his head and making in game adjustments. Out with the old, in with the new. ASAP please.


Get Tortorella off this team. He already has his cup, get somebody in here who is actually HUNGRY. Someone who can utilize the team's talents...not some clown who collects Americans by the boatload to see them grind, and dump away. Tort's system- Throw out the talented Europeans, and insert grinding Americans/Canadians who play a dumb it down type of hockey. This game was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I am SICK AND TIRED of saying the same things over and over again. No adjustments whatsoever during the game. Just a blank stare from our head coach and empty, mindless pats on the back of people who aren't deserving of ice-time. Such a frustrating team, with the biggest clown of a tactician in John "Powerplay specialist turned dump it in specialist" Tortorella. Sorry but this isn't the first or the last game we will lose like this. We lack the fire, drive, emotion to compete. Look at Ottawa's inuries....look at ours...Scary, scary difference In PAYROLL. AND RESULTS. They are up 3-1 on the Islanders without 3 of their star players. We only have 1 star player out of the line up and we can't even score 2 goals, can't even intimidate a WEAK, TINY Habs team. They were laughing their ***** off with Price @ the end of the game for a reason.

Agree on most points. Tortorella rarely seems to adapt his coaching tactics to what is actually happening on the ice. It's always the same... dump-->grind-->dump-->grind.

Pulling Lundqvist on the power play was a terrible idea. Let's invite the other team to shoot from the other end of the ice with no consequences. Our power play sucks but we actually got close to scoring with just a one man advantage. Wait until the power play ends to pull the goalie.

Didn't mean to imply I thought that goal was on Kreider, because it wasn't.

Blame for that goal, IMHO, goes as follows.

1. Richards for gliding back into the play, he could have definitely made a difference.
2. Staal for stone hands.
3. Richards for the terrible pass to Staal in the first place.
4. Kreider. He was gliding too, but it's not his man (hence why he is last on this list)

I wouldn't "blame" Kreider but being the fastest player on the ice he needs to hustle back. Even exhausted he's faster than most of the team. The lack of urgency from a young player trying to stick with the team is worrisome.

Agreed. It's a tedious system that should only be employed by teams with no skill.

What this Rangers team does have is not only skill, but the speed to go with it. Game in and game out our slowest forwards are Stepan and Asham. Guys who are probably average skaters at the NHL level (maybe below average for Steps).

It all came to fruition after the Lightning game, where Tortorella was pissed that the Rangers found themselves in a "track meet" style game. Okay, I understand you don't want to be in a track meet against the Lightning, but this Rangers team has the ability to run that system. Let the ****ing skill fly.

I wouldn't doubt he thinks that. Did you see the look on his face after the game? Usually in a loss he walks right off the bench but tonight he stood there in a daze of disbelief.

Then when I'm sure it's one player who will get benched by Torts, he is out there the rest of the game, while for some subtle gaffe, he makes players sit and ride the pine all period. Then sends them out in OT...no accountability. Somebody needs to step up in that locker room and take control of the team. Tortorella's time has run it's course. (IMO ofcourse)

What I don't understand about the players...WHY DOES EVERY PLAYER SHOOT WITH NO LANE. Every god damn shot gets blocked by a shin pad not because it was a good defensive move but because the players are a bunch of idiots that carelessly throw the puck into the shins.

Staal pisses me off with his shot, I mean...everyone is pissing me off with the shot.



I'm just sick too my stomach thinking about how pathetic of a showing it was, it wasn't going bad, but it wasn't going good to say the least.

Yeah, we get it. Torts, the coach who's "mindless" strategy led this team to their best season in years, is a "big clown." So many big clowns win cups an Jack Adams awards and coach teams to 50 win seasons and first place in the ECF.

We outplayed them for most of the game. If their first goal doesn't happen who knows if Montreal would have scored at all. Our offense was awful but our defense was solid.

It was a ****** performance and I didn't watch the game past Montreal's 2nd goal, but up to that it was a ****tier Montreal performance. Both teams looked like they had ECHL offenses there.

Oh and why the **** was Nash out?

He has the flu and is having his lower body amputated.
