I dont get how advanced stats work, so obviously my comment was superficial and very vague. I just find it crazy how people bash on Gilbert, when he's getting paid to do what a 2.8m defenseman is paid to do. Its not as if he's causing us to give in goals every shift. [Excluding today's game ]

Mostly they are just more detailed ways to measure puck possession and shots. And that's why they flatter Gilbert, who is good at what he does, well except right now indeed.

Pretty sure he had Pouliot there, he should have went for the puck carrier, and galchenyuk should've had Yakupov, I don't even know where he was. Beaulieu was in a tough spot and he kinda made a 50/50 for both because he didn't know what to do.
