3 goals on 7 shots is not acceptable, no matter who's in the net.

It happens to every goalie sometimes, even the good ones, but the guys we've had this year do not deserve a break when that happens.

I'd only mark goal one as stoppable, but you gotta make a save on a breakaway sometimes.

Goal 2 was bad luck for Hammond, he had no chance on that one.

Goal 1 was a Gillies level softy.

Hammond was for goaltending depth, he’s getting a shot because Gillies sucked but we needed him also in case of injuries.

We have one single goalie in the AHL who is signed to a NHL contract and can be called up here. And the depth in the minors sucks so sending Schmid would up would kill Utica.

Hammond might be not be meeting even very low, buried deep in soil, exceptions but he wasn’t brought in here to turn things around in April.

I would have thought Hammond was brought in so Daws could be sent down for sure right away . Then Hammomd starts the rest of the games, and Gilles woild backup and only be used if Hammmone gets overworked.
Not sure why Daws is still here. I guess they wanted to wait and see if Hammond could at least be serviceable and do not wanting Gillies to ever play again unless absolutely needed

Saw the Suzuki goal, even though that was a bad shot, shooting from there after a cross ice pass is a golden chance. Devils man have given up so many golden opportunities, when they break down they really break down (like the Caufield goal).
