Hank playing the puck that close to the line is normal, he always does that. It was LEGALLY played, the follow through may have been in the zone but they never call that. I always see goalies follow through outside the trapezoid.

Plus, srsly, how many too many men did MTL get away with this series? 2?3?

At a bar... theres 1 tv and a group on one end is literally watching the spelling bee, and won't switch to playoff hockey

Hank is on the brink of disaster every time he leaves the crease. It's do weird to me that he can be so good at so much & yet so bad at playing the puck.

It's for a few reasons, he heavily tapes his left hand and wrist (glove hand) to provide more rigid support when holding his glove hand up. On top of all of that, he uses a glove that is extremely stiff and hard to close. For two reasons, one being to prevent against stingers in the palm, and secondly because he chooses to use his glove as a blocking tool when he holds it up. It stays wide open to provide more blocking surface area.

All these things together make him feel better about stopping the puck. Puck handling comes secondary to stopping the puck.

Hypnotizing!

Yeah it's wild. If I remember correctly though, Patrick Roy also wasn't that good playing the puck.
